  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know a few words... MushiMushi (Hi) and Kanechiwa (a proper Hello)
I Don't know if they are spelled right though... I finally saw Inuyasha last night  It was on at 1:00AM...

Heh, first of all - it's hard to misspell a language that doesn't use roman characters. ;)

Second, usually it is 'transliterated' phonetically. So it's more a matter of pronunciation. I believe the two words are usually transliterated as "moshi moshi" and "konnichiwa"

The other phrase that seems to come up a lot is "chotto matte yo!" - wait just a minute! or wait up!

Also there is of course "o-suare"- "sit"

I find it fun to watch with a Nihongo dictionary at hand. Of course, you need at least some grasp of the completely unusual grammar, not to mention the 4 or so completely different conjugations depending on tone of respect.

Oh, and just to note - hardly anyone in Japan addresses anyone as Inu-yasha-sama anymore. This would be the equivalent of saying Lord Inu-yasha or 'master' rather than 'sir'. However, 'san' and 'chan' are still used.
