  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was so pleased to find this forum tonight.

I'm not new to CF but am new to this little part of it so thought I would introduce myself

I am 37 and have been a ministry wife for over 19 years. I married just 2 weeks after graduating from high school. Sounds crazy, I know, but I've never questioned that decision. I know that this is God's will for my life.

Two months after after our wedding my husband was offered a position as pastor of a small congregation 16 hours away from all I had ever known.

We are now at our third church. We have been here over 12 years. We are in the process of preparing to build a new church building here as we feel so limited by our small building.

By the way, I'm married to the most wonderfully sweet man in the world! :amen:

So glad you found this forum! I am so happy that it has grown and taken off in the last few months. I didn't know that you were a pastor's wife, too!
