I am relatively new to Christian Forums, and I am so pleased that there is a Reformed Forum. I believe that there is a lot that I can learn from the members of this forum. I was raised in the Assemblies of God church and graduated from one of their colleges. During my college years, I left the Assemblies because I did not think that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was subsequent to salvation. In addition, I do not think that tongues is the initial evidence of the Baptism. I also developed doubts about Arminianism. In time, in searching Scripture and thinking hard, it became increasingly obvious to me that Calvinism is consistent with Scriptural teaching. I still have a great deal to learn, and that's why this Forum really excites me. I am rejoicing that God in His providence has brought me here. For the sake of full disclosure, I do believe that God still today graciously gives the gifts of the Spirit as outlined in First Corinthians chapter 12. Again, my agenda here is principally to learn from you good Christians. Perhaps, I might make some modest contributions on occasion.
