New to this forum. I'm 60 yrs old and have been an adventist for the last few years. I married into the church, made friends and in due time I became convinced about the sabbath.

New to this forum. I'm 56 years and believe in primarily following what the bible says. I've been watching Doug Batchelor, and the scriptural support he provided for keeping a proper sabbath won me over. ex. "If ye love me, keep my commandments." In Acts Christians switched from keeping a proper Sabbath to to keeping Sunday, and it seems it was to avoid the persecution the Jews were under at the time. I don't know if I could be called an Adventist as I don't follow some of the ideas of Ellen White.

Welcome! Pastor Doug was my personal pastor for many years before I moved but I still listen to his sermons online. Praise the Lord you found God's Truth on the Sabbath commandment, Psa 119:151

I hope to see you around. :)

I joined the forum in 2020, but somehow missed this thread.

I was born and raised as a Seventh-day Adventist. I was baptized at age thirteen. I left the church at the age of sixteen (went to go live with my father) and didn't come back to it until age forty six. Two years after my return I started posting regularly on Reddit Christian forums. In 2020 I found CF and started posting on doctrinal debate threads. It's been a blessing meeting other Adventists and supporting each other.

Beautiful testimony, I think many are seeing where to be in the fullness of Gods truth, as we come to the end times.

Hello! I grew up in a family where religion wasn't always actively present, but my grandparents (7th Day Adventist) always taught me and explained things about the Bible and God, Jesus. Unfortunately, during my youth, I became very distant from God due to alcohol and music (heavy metal). I've always been interested in the Bible, but I was never truly committed. Only a few months ago, after a difficult year, I found my way back to the Bible. I started reading and studying it independently from any teachings I knew, and eventually, I came back to the Seventh-day Adventist faith, as I believe it aligns most closely with the Bible and makes the most sense to me.

At the same time, almost my entire family has come to faith and been baptized in the last 20 years, many of them who were once unbelievers. They prayed for me, and now I can feel my life slowly changing. A few months ago, I began dedicating myself more to God and the Bible. I study the Bible every day, use books by Ellen G. White, and attend Sabbath school from the Adventist press. I’ve started to notice changes within me.

One day, I had an intense prayer and felt a peaceful, powerful presence. I broke down in tears, something I had never experienced before. This happened after I truly repented of my sins and asked for sincere forgiveness, acknowledging Jesus as our Savior and he will soon return to earth.

Great testimony, I was listening to Scott Ritsema on rock music and was stunned to say the least. I cant find it but here is a short one he did..
