• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The other person is jtbdad (No Swansong) he said that this was his favorite board but was surprised that you had visited it. I guess you are in the Methodist or maybe the Anglican forums more.

In any case he said there wasn't anyone on the Fundamentalist board that I wouldn't like.

As far as you being here I am glad that you are.

Nobody has the courage to confront the LGBT agenda at here? Brothers and Sisters as soon as they can they are going to pass hate crimes laws that make it illegal for us to say that homosexuality is a sin, effectively outlawing the Bible itself and making any real Christian an enemy of the State. This is no joke friends.

http://www.silencingchristians.com/

I recal back in the 90's we had some understanding of this and then I guess the comforts of America happened, and 9/11 happened, and now where are we?

The Christian church is divided with a growing number rejecting the President as being Christian. The deception grows http://peakoil.com

God help us, when we cannot even stand up vocally on the Internet.

I agree that this is a very serious issue. Canada has already introduced hate speech/hate crime laws and it is technically illegal for a pastor to speak against homosexual practices here. Has been for several years. Many are still speaking God's truth regardless, but there is a growing number who are avoiding the topic completely in fear of backlash or arrest. It's very similar to the way Communist governments run things, in that they brainwash the people to do their dirty work. Pastors have more to "fear" from the general public than from the police. America is walking down that same path and you guys really need to fight to stop it. Don't let it creep in silently the way it did in Canada. You guys still have some power to do something.

PS, welcome to the fundie forum!

Thanks so much.

I'm afraid it is even worse than we think. It is getting harder and harder to find real christian resouces on the net about this stuff. I know the company I worked at they have extensive expertise in finding people over the internet and how to do search optimizations so that their pages alays come up on top. I used to think people who talked about the gay agenda were just crying wolf, not any more. They intend to destroy the church from within and from without, the unbridled disdain I saw in many of those at this company could only be descibed as an attitude of outright warfare.

Maybe I should make a trip to Canada. Do you know of any pastors there that I might be able to talk to. I would like to start collecting their experiences so I can make the case to our own people?

I'll google it if that is too sensetive. I would not be surprised to see churches going underground. When sin rules the public debate and pastors are criminalized for preaching Romans 1 we have a major problem.

I'm not sure what kind of info you could get from pastors up here. What kinds of things would you be looking for?

First of all I consider the canadian church now to be part of the persecuted church in the world.

Let me state clearly my doctrine:

1) God loves everybody

2) God hates sin

3) He sent his Son do die for forgiveness of sin.

4) Jesus did and was raised three day later and then ascended to heaven

5) repentance is required for salvation

6) homosexuality (one of a long list) is a sin

7) homosexuals (sinners) must repent in order to be saved

I do not advocate and would not advocate violence of any form. I would however suggest that the church learn how to use peaceful non-violence and secrecy if needs be to protect places where the gospel can continue to be preached. I think we are making a mistake if we view such laws and such actions as isolated events. The homosexual agenda is well funded, unrelenting, and satanically motivated as an attack against the Church. If the Church fails to stand up to it the souls of millions will be lost. I do not believe that hunkering down and saying 'it is a sign of the times, it barely affects me' is an adequate response. I am ready and willing to preach against sin in any venue and to stand alongside those being persecuted for their faith.

I would like to hear first hand how Christian life in Canada has been affected by these laws. I am willing to travel to Canada to chronicle the stories and make sure that people in the United States hear their testimonies.

hi everyone.

I realized that I should actually introduce myself, b/c even though I don't post around these parts much, I sometimes do... and I come over here often enough to lurk and read all of your posts. So, hopefully this counts as a "fellowship" post and I won't get into any trouble...

Anyways, I just go by "Paxi" anymore... if I had the blessings to do it, I'd change my CF name, so please don't let the "goth" part get to you. Such is the nature of choosing screen names that you will use for years...

Well, if it is ok/acceptable with everyone, I'd be interested in sharing more about myself, my story and my personal testimony. But this is your forum, and I will respect your decision(s).

Nice to meet everyone!
