CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hey im ashley! im new here.. i wanted to join because im 21 and a born again christian and i dont really know many other young adults that want to be christians.. i used to go to church when i was a little kid but stopped before i was very old and now that im going again i feel like i dont know very much haha so im learning but i thought it would be nice to have a support group! i am also getting married in 43 days!! so if there is anyone else in the same boat as me i would love to talk!

I'll graduate next year from a school that Wikipedia calls gymnasium and then at least try to get to a university, we'll see how it goes then. I'm 24, almost 25 yrs old. Got saved when I was 14 yrs old and God's really been molding me and changing me.. and I know He has even more in store! This seems to be a year of growth... difficulties followed by beautiful changes!!! I love seeing how God is working in my life and just fitting everything together. After a long serious illness, God led me to my calling which is to help other people get healthy
I love what I do, and it's really something that challenges me because I'm a quiet person but this is a relationship-business. God has blessed me in sooo many ways and I look forward to meeting more ppl here and getting to know you all better!

Help Me To See Clearly O Lord
Hey all! I'm 22 years old. I've grown up around true Christians through out my life. I've always been blessed to have good examples around. After spending some time away from God, i've come back with a stronger faith then I had before. I look at myself as an extremely rational and indepent thinker. I've been a natural skeptic all my life. That quality used to be the barrier between me and God, now it's one of the best tools I have in defending my faith. I love to chat with like minded people, so anyone, feel free to chat with me!

Hey everyone! My I'm lilredheadangel (aka Heather), if you guessed I have red hair you would be correct! I just wanted to say hi (makes sense because that is what this thread is for). I am 23 and just finished up my first year of teaching! It was a lot of fun and very challenging. I am going to miss all of my kids very much though - they are all very special and unique! I also love reading and watching movies... so bring on the summer... oh and I am looking forward to getting to know people!

Hows it all going im milesgonepast (aka Ron). This is the first time on a christian forum (albeit its been that long since i have seriously made efforts in my christian life). I joined up for several reasons, one of them being that over the last few months ive really been questioning myself, my life, how its been so far, my attitudes towards things and the contradictions that exist in my life. I really wanted to start to get in touch again with myself, and more and more being unbias as possible, i realised that its always been god that i turned to when things go downhill (not to sound like a broken record!). So its time i thought to walk the walk and TALK the talk .
Im from Australia (apparently the christian community isnt anymore than 1-2% in relation to population size, though dont quote me on that one!), and surprisingly ive found it hard to be able to engage with people sometimes who come as exicited as me to talk about god and jesus (Age desparity in many churches im finding maybe i need to look harder). Or at least find a church that im comfortable to be sitting in.

My name is Elizabeth, I've been a member of CF for about six years, but have been off and on. My old username was 'cheerchick', and now obviously 'DevoutHeiress'. I'm a Texan born and raised, who loves just about any kind of sport, yes.. yes including football and baseball (to watch). I play volleyball everynow and again, and was a cheerleader back in highschool, you can always tell by my upbeat attitude. I love the Lord with everything in me, and enjoy sharing that love with others. Right now, I work at a hotel chain as the front desk, and go to school full time.
It's great to see everyone, you all seem real bomb!

Well first off it is great to meet everyone and read a little about them (which makes me wonder, who actually takes the time to read the intros?)
Anyways, my name is Andrew and I'm new to CF though not a new Christian. I'm actually trying to come closer to God and really immerse myself with other Christians just like me.

hi everyone, first post, just joined. i tried messing with that avatar thing and its kind of freakish, but i think i can cope.
so - i am a 24 yo male from Western PA. I graduated with my undergrad in 07, am currently working & making progress on my MBA...but enough with the boring stuff.
I am trying to buck the trend of the boring Christian male. Too often I see guys quit living life (before or after getting married). I will have none of that. There is too much to see/do/experience, and it would be a shame to stop trying new things at age 24. I feel that I walk the line (in a good way) as I can settle down later in life.
I have some experiences most young adults never face, so my views on life are a bit different. I had to grow up and deal with a lot while my roommates only had to get themselves to class by 10am. The more I post, the more I will open up. I dont share much at first (if ever), but I pull ridiculous pop culture references out of nowhere.
I am a huge sports junkie, I love working out, and saying what others are afraid to say. I have recently gotten into cars (and making mine go faster). I think that if I am going to screw around on the internet, it might as well be in an atmosphere of fellow believers!
/ramble, hopefully I come to like this place as its seems many of you already do.
