  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think I may already done this, but haven't been on the forum for quite a while. I hope to become more active here.

I'm a recently new convert (just over 18 months) from Ontario, Canada. I am currently attending a Baptist church, but have also visited nondenominational churches.

I am a nurse, and have two sons. I am (sort of) engaged, but am currently taking a step back from the relationship to refocus on my new relationship with God and re-evaluate things.

I was baptized last June, and soon after, God called me to start dressing very modestly. I have been wearing long skirts for nearly a year. This past spring, I was called to cover my head, which I have been doing full time since April.

I am very interested in learning more about the Mennonites.

How do you know God are calling you to cover your head?
Sometimes we may confuse God's calling with our own ideas you know.

Anywho, welcome to the forum:)
