  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just joined tonight.
I'm a guy / husband / father.
Im interested in politics, people, bringing up kids.
And on those topics I guess I am small government but with a social / welfare emphasis. I believe people should try to take responsibility for their actions as much as possible. As a parent I am fairly strict.
I believe in God. Our family attends church weekly.

Great to see you here. You say that you're intrested in polotics.
Visit this forum : http://www.christianforums.com/f181 Thats the polotical discussion forum, in the society section. Its a great place to discuss how you feel about polotics and ecetra. I think personally its always great to rather then ignoring a subject, posting it right up and discussing it. There are people who may see things from a diffrent angle then yourself if you stay observant you can maximize you're understanding of issues that face us here on earth today. I can tell you that lots illogical with the world, we should dicuss it and take actions in our every day lifes to contribute to the negitivity as little as possible. Thats why discussion of polotics is a great thing. This forum is also a great medium.
