  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We all make our own choices every day of the week...I mean does God have to tell you to get out of bed in the morning and go to work?

And yes, we do determine our fate...remember? Free Will? We make right choices or not, and that's not satanic. And because someone disagrees with you, they are their own God??

Your styling a defense for your end of this with things that make no sense at all sense...just made up stuff to throw a someone..

Making our own choices, using the mind God gave us is is sinful? Not surprised because for some people everything is sinful. And, wanting companionship, love, sexual intimacy is normal right? Oh no, that’s a sin too. Oh and so is having compassion and empathy for the young woman that the OP is in a relationship with, and I am deserving of Hell for that. Smh.

It's that simple....or everything but what *I* do is sin. ;)

We don't see that all that often but it does happen and all we can do is try to make the person who does it, aware of it, and hope it sinks in, even if only eventually.

I firmly believe some people will never be aware of it and convincing them otherwise is a wasted effort.

I believe you may be correct, but at least it won't be for lack of trying on our part. This is just so extreme, even I'm a little taken back by it.

And someone telling me I deserve Hell for disagreeing with them and wanting to show compassion to those who’ve been dealt a bad hand is too extreme as well.

The physical reality is messy. We live in a world where imperfections spring up spontaneously. We have absolute ideas about the sexes, and it may stem from spiritual truths. It may be that our spirits are never anything in-between. The same cannot be said of our physical bodies. If sexuality does exist on an absolute spiritual level, then the real determinant is not made by objective karyotyping, which is capable of all manner of exceptions, but by the nature of the spirit that God gives us. Karyotype is only a technical truth. I don't think that God puts the spirit of a man in a woman's body in compliance with a technicality. That's a level of foolishness that I would not be willing to ascribe to him.

However, the truth is we determine sex in this day and age the same way they did in Biblical days...we look.

I agree. If this woman were to marry another woman, then I don't think that having an XY karyotype would make it not a homosexual relationship. That would have to make the opposite relationship heterosexual, and that's about as close to an answer as I can get.

Did you read the OP? This young woman's appearance isn't altered to appear female, GOD made her appear female. Her body does not process the male hormones so she remained appearing female. She is a girl. This is GOD's doing.

Your genetic claims are incorrect and you never address any of my questions concerning addresses in the Bible. However, the mod has asked us to stop debating, so I will.
I completely disagree with that person anyway, I think an intersex person has the right to modify their body to present as a gender they identify as and sometimes they must remove reproductive organs and other features for health reasons or due to cancer risk.

I just don't get how people can be judgmental about this topic when most of us on this thread were lucky enough to be born a clear cut sex and feel comfortable with our gender. How awful and confusing it would be to not have that. I have nothing but compassion for intersex people AND trans people who were born biologically 1 sex.

But I am a non righteous, moderate and mistaken hooligan who's not a "real Christian" and I'm "going to hell" but I still have an opinion I'm free to share on forums...

Interesting info on this topic
Does having a Y chromosome make someone a man? | Intersex Society of North America

In fact, there’s a whole lot more to maleness and femaleness than X or Y chromosomes. About 1 in 20,000 men has no Y chromosome, instead having 2 Xs. This means that in the United States there are about 7,500 men without a Y chromosome. The equivalent situation - females who have XY instead of XX chromosomes - can occur for a variety of reasons and overall is similar in frequency.

In light of this, sex should be considered not a product of our chromosomes, but rather, a product of our total genetic makeup, and of the functions of these genes during development.

In otherwords, if you haven't been genetically tested for the Y gene or lack of it, you don't necessarily know your genetic composition.....

The Bible isn't the thing to draw on in this instance. When the Bible was written no one had any idea of genetics and it's variants. Those who want to paint the picture that your genitals decide your gender.... Or your genes decide your gender, are simply ignorant of the variants that exist in life. If you want to be like others and make your choice based on genes and genitals fine, but imo the issue is about if this woman is someone you feel is a beautiful and interesting
