ok I posted a poll over in the "questions by non christians" section because i want christian only responses but there is almost no one over there so I'm gonna post the link to it here in hopes to get more votes.

again I want just christian responses simply because I've been doing some research, thanks.

Let me be the first Christian on this one to say, NO, there is nothing wrong with it. In fact, my family is full of interracial marriages and mixed children. My wife is from Okinawa, Japan and we have three beautiful children together. My father is Creek Indian, and he had 3 kids with my mom. I've got a cousin in Texas whose father is Mexican. I have another cousing who's first child's father is Black. I could never see what the big deal is with interracial marriages. If you love the person, color of skin should never matter.

There's no such thing as "interracial" marriage unless you're marrying something non human.....so I didn't vote in your poll if the question is "is there anything wrong with people of different skin complexions getting married" the answer is no.

I'm a product of an interracial marriage too. my birth dad was white (russian, german, irish) and my mom is central/south american. and I think there's some native american in there somewhere too.

but believe it or not...there is ALOT of racism out there. and it is very prevalent in the christian community.

so I asked it because of because of people like this:

Why would I click into those sites? Why do you even post them? Do you believe they are in anyway representative of the Christian faith? Do you believe they have any political or social influence outside a very small subset of Americans?

And why do you only ask this of Christians? You do know Alan Dershowitz wrote a book which touches on this subject don't you? Why not be concerned over what a Harvard professor says on the issue rather than some fringe groups?

there are alot of people who claim to represent the christian faith. the question becomes is what they're toting what the religion teaches or their own twisted beliefs and interpretations on what they've read?

and no it isnt just "websites" i have met people in person like that too. and i do realize that sometimes people will make websites in an attempt to make christians look bad. i also realize not all christians are racist but then i realize some are.

groups such as the KKK and kinism and other "christian identity" groups are real they arent just there to make people look bad. it does exist.

so then it turns into...gee look at all these people claiming to be christian while exercising racism. i'm not white. mm. this could be dangerous.

and if I was actually taking those sites as "oh this is real christianity" then I wouldnt be posting stuff here and doing more research on my own. I know not all christians are racist. but its the ones who are that worry me.

Well, I am American Indian and German. I think it's important to pass cultural heritage on to your kids, because it can become important to them. I wish I knew more about my Indian heritage, but there aren't enough people alive to know more. But I think interracial marriages are completely as fine as any other marriage.

I have no problem with interracial marriages provided that the two individuals have the same religious persuasions.

In the US, we have a lot of racist people. Racism is usually associated with the extremes of social conservativism, and the vast majority of social conservatives are Christians.

Take a look at the following boards:
http://www.freeconservatives.com - its a sickening place to be, populated by US conservatives who very likely speak with southern drawl and usually dont take kindly to non-whites. Sample quotes here.

http://www.stormfront.org - its a white nationalist community, where they bat around theories like "the real Adam and Eve were white".
