  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does anyone know how to look that story up again? I too was not able to open the link (being that old) and I would be very interested in reading about this evil person and his patterns. Being on these forums for so many years as I have been, it's easy to point these creeps out and warn the folks on those websites/forums that they prey on!

I'm very sorry for the lady (ladies) who have had to deal with this slug and please rest assured that he will answer for his deeds when his time here on Earth is thru!!! Prayers going out to those precious angels that he wronged and may God help all of you to get thru this.

Does anyone know if this person has been prosecuted for his evil deeds?

Thanks for the link. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Surely this man has broken several laws? I see the website she put up about him is no longer available and it makes one wonder if that's a legal (civil) move on his behalf?

I see the commercials all the time on television for this Christian Mingle dating website and something about it always seems a little phony to me??? I can't explain that, it's just something down in the gutt?

There was a similar story about an older gentleman who was doing just about the same thing with older wealthy women that I watched on one of those investigative programs and several of the women involved finally got this man prosecuted and sent to prison. Sounds like this guy needs the very same outcome! This is really sad and I feel for these women.

When I read or hear about these kinds of stories, I can't help but wonder if I was in a similar situation when I think back on how the woman I was with for two years just up & left because I would not put her name on my estate? The timing in which she chose to leave was also very suspicious to me since she decided to leave a week after she retired from a state job and had a large sum of money coming. She was to replace funds that I had spent during that time and those funds never came leaving my life's savings pretty much exhausted.

She drove my vehicle all that time while constantly claiming she intended to get her own vehicle and 70K miles later, I now have a vehicle with almost 100K miles on it and she is gone and has purchased herself a new vehicle. The more I spoke with her friends and one of her family members, I came to realize I was just a stepping stone for her to get herself in a better position in life once she retired and then she was gone!

As a Christian, we are taught to forgive those who trespass against us and it's been very difficult for me since this happened. I'm still working on it and I ask the Lord all the time to give me the strength and the wisdom to get past this and move on with my life? The most difficult part of the whole ordeal is the fact that my health has declined during this period, not to mention I am not in a position to rebuild my life's savings again because, now I am completely disabled which means I now have nothing to offer a partner so... I am pretty much destined to live out the remainder of my life alone.

I remind myself almost daily that God never promised smooth sailing, He promised we would reach the other side!

I have always been leary of any of those sites because you just never know. But there are 2 couples in my bible study that met thru online dating. One is a couple that is getting married in March and they are really young (20,21) and the other is a couple that are in their 60's I think? They met online but the woman thoroughly checked out the man and even made him give a list of all his contacts before she could go out on a date with him. She checked out if he really did teach Sunday School at church and called the school where he works (he's a principal). They both are a good fit for each other, but I just don't trust people, myself, so.....and I feel the Christian sites are more vulnerable because they throw the Christianity in there, so a woman might think she's met her dream man and it's all a facade.

EXACTLY!!! It only takes one bad apple to spoil the entire barrel and this is exactly what happens here! Since I have moved to this town, I have been burned 4 times by people boasting what good Christians they are! It's truly depressing when you think about it?

My most recent bad experience with a couple who proclaimed they were such good Christians burned me really bad on a bartar deal. Some of you may recall a spa/tub I bought for a certain someone that I decided to bartar on Craig's List for a riding mower. Since I've been really limited to what I can do physically, I really needed a riding mower in order to keep my lawn neat so, I ran an ad offering to trade this beautiful tub for a riding mower and cash because of the value of the spa/tub compared to a small riding mower.

This couple showed up (young couple) with a nice looking riding mower and the wife wanted the spa/tub so bad, she was almost begging to make the trade. When I asked about the mechanical ability of the mower, the husband went on & on about how great it was and that as a good Christian he would put his word on it and would never dream of doing someone wrong? That should have been the first red flag!

The trade was made and I decided since I was feeling a little better that day that I would go ahead and mow the lawn right then. This was about 30 minutes after they left. Not more than 15 minutes into the mowing, this mower stops running and it won't start again? Now he had run the mower in front of me so I could see how well it worked so, I was taken back when it quit on me? I called them that evening and he agreed to come by, pick it up and find what the problem was? He said he felt bad about the whole thing because, once again he boasted what a fine Christian he was and he would make things right!

Two weeks later and endless calls to him that he refused to return, I left a message stating he needed to contact me or this would become a legal matter. He called that very evening claiming he had been really busy with work (oil field worker he claims) and that he would be there the next morning with the repaired mower? Sure enough he shows the next morning with the mower and apologizing all over himself. He runs the mower about ten minutes around the yard and all seems fine. Off he goes and once again I attempt to mow my lawn?

Believe it or not, it runs for about 15 to 20 minutes and dies again? Unbelievable!!! So, now we go thru the whole process again and now he's claiming I'm doing something wrong??? He agrees to pick the mower up again and take it to his uncle this time who is a regular mower mechanic. He calls almost a week later claiming his uncle said the fuel pump went out and the part was on order! Three weeks later he's back with this mower and it dies coming off the trailer!!!

Now it's beyond funny? I'm really upset at this time and telling him to just return the spa/tub and we'll cancel the deal because I need a mower I can count on and this machine is NOT it! He begs me not to do this and that he will buy another mower and make this right because he's a fine Christian and he doesn't do things this way? Against my better judgement, I agree and away he goes.

A week later (again after calling him several times), he shows up with a nice looking Sears mower and it looks good and sounds good plus, it has a larger cutting surface! Bingo, I hit the jackpot!!! Wrong!!! He backs it off the trailer, runs it around the front yard for several minutes and it's doing a beautiful job cutting the lawn. He pulls it in my driveway and cuts it off so I can put it on the garage because I decided not to mow the lawn that day as I was not feeling up to par? As he's preparing the trailer to get ready to leave, I decide to move the mower into the garage and it will NOT start! I mean it's dead as dead could be!!! Talk about ready to tear your hair out? We are both standing there in disbelief and he says... not to worry! He will run to Sears and get a brand new battery and he'll be right back? I have not heard from them since and their phone number is no longer in service???

My neighbor pushed the mower into the garage and it's been sitting there since. I bought a new battery to replace the dead one and the mower still will not run? Stung again by another "fine Christian" as he so boldly claimed!!!

I hate it when people do other people wrong and they know it!

Well, I'm not fond of the idea either but, we live & learn I guess? I've got to move on and let it go because it will serve me no purpose to dwell on it. They know what they've done and they will have to live with it, not me.
