  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How do I begin to pray for those persecuted in the world? I need to know how to intercede for others, including those who have been persecuted. I know that this should be in the Christian advice area, but since this is about persecution of Christians, will it be okay?

St. Therese's "little way" is a great way to go for large problems like this. To put it simply, you can't always do great things; sometimes, you just have to do small things with great love. https://www.littleflower.org/therese/reflections/st-therese-and-her-little-way/

For example, human trafficking is a great problem that I'm relatively powerless to change. Pray, of course, always pray. But I have a good friend who goes to Thailand & Greece to actively work against human trafficking with The Exodus Road, so what I can do to help end human trafficking comes down to being there for my friend that works against this.

Specifically for your request of aiding persecuted Christians, you may consider looking into organizations such as the Knights of Columbus that actively work to assist persecuted Christians worldwide. http://www.kofc.org/en/news/releases/kofc-fund-help-christians-iraq.html

God be with you & all of us.

Well, I think you just pray for them as if there was a loved family member that is being persecuted. You ask for their protectoin, for their blessings, for insight, discernment, healing and restoration where needed, freedom from prison where needed, peace, steadfast faith, to have the Word, and so on. I also pray for them to operate in the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Of course this Forum has people to pray for. You can get more information from Opendoorsusa, Release International and Voice of the Martyrs. It is great you want to pray for them! :)
