Instrumentals - what program to use?

I want to make music with synthetic instruments (like violin and piano) on the computer that also sound realistic. I've seen people do this but I never knew what program they use. What program do you use?

I have Fruity Loop but not sure if FL can do this.

It depends on which VST synth you have. There's expensive ones, for 100€-500€, and there might be realistic free ones. You should google "Piano VST free" or "Violin VST free". I myself found a VST that sounded like 500€ but was free^^, its called DSK Brass. Just put the VST in the vstplugins in C:/program files

also: The sequencer (FL Studio for example) has nothing to do with the sounds, you can use Cubase as well.

I use Logic pro. The string sounds are very good.
