  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey, I know there's at least two people here who run Red hat and i can't get mine to install. I'm having trouble with the partitions. It keeps saying it's can't allocate memory for the partition. I'm probably going to be getting a new hard drive anyway, but any ideas on why it's doing this?

Ok first I need to know if you are going to install redhat on a computer that already has a version of windows on it.

I've got Red Hat 8.0

What I did was install red hat first, got it up and running, just making sure it was going. but what I did was gave a dos fat 32 partition about 5 gb (you may need more) so i can put windows on it. then when I reboot the computer, I put the win xp in and installed off the windows cd. Lilo should have a boot choice of which o.s. you would like to use. then update accordingly. (goto the official Red Hat community pages to learn more on updates, etc)
