Inspired Poem

I'm not a writer - by any stretch of the imagination. I've been moderating in the Ethics & Morality Forum for several months now. And as I was sitting at my computer, this poem just dripped from my fingers. I knew I couldn't ignore it and had to write it down.

I didn't know where to share it - I wanted to put it in the Ethics & Morality forum - but thought I would review it with you writers first. Please let me know if its okay or if it should be fixed some.

here goes:


Truth Can't be Denied

I wish you could understand what I feel inside
The feeling is real and can’t be denied


So many argue that truth that I feel
So many claim that my God isn’t real


So much sadness fills my heart & my mind
For those who won’t listen, will be left behind


I know what I feel is true in my heart
If only they’d listen and try to take part


Once you’ve been touched, they’ll be no denying
And then you will know just who’s been lyin’
