I think the people back then were much more "spiritually aligned" than people are today. As mentioned previously, belief. These were people under the law of Moses, these were God's chosen. I believe they were much closer to God in their normal lives, He was their priority, in a lot of respects they were much more focused on God than we are today.Bluemoon said:Why would they have possessions in Biblical times and not now? As far as the field of medicine or the sciences in general is concerned I feel as we gained more knowledge we centered more on ourselves, our technology, leaving God behind.
As far as morality our society embraces "preference over principle" which is the opposite of bibical society such as the Jews were back then.
Yes, I think the nail has been hit on the head in this thread.. Belief in Satan has changed and so have his tactics.
