Hi there brothers and sisters , if you can find the time please look and comment on this thread.

It is a matter that at first appears quite small , see what you think.

It has long been the conviction of young earth creationists like myself that all death decay and suffering are a direct result of Adam's sin , and that when mankind is finally set free so also the creation will be.


Yet some argue animals ate animals before Adam sinned , while some believe plants died before Adam sinned.

Have a look , and see what you can come up with in this thread .

Even if plants died before the fall, plants are not the same kind of life as people, nor as animals. Animals, while not having eternal souls as man does, still have a kind of soul. Plants do not. Death and suffering came through the fall. Plants are not capable of true suffering. Plants were created with the very purpose, in a "very good" world, of being food.

it seems strange that the answers from Genesis pages answer these texts

I am still of the opinion that the words of Jesus about a seed dying are figurative , the seed appears to have died , but life is still in it ... a type of Resurrection.

I'm with you. THis is a figure of speech. It is a very common teaching tool. A seed was never had life as we have it. It was ordained that plants should have grains of seeds for reproduction. We can assume that men and all animals likewise had seeds for reproduction before the fall.

We were given the command to be fruitful and have children before the fall. In the case of man and animal live the "seed" would also "die" in the reproductive act. This is not a product of the fall. Unless Adam and Eve and all animal life was only to create enough sperm and eggs for procreation.

This dude is like the man who argues that God is not spirit because the Scriptures says he has arms, thighs ears, etc...
