I liked it alot I watched the midnight showing of it. My friend then said something that actually makes me wonder alot. "History is what the winners say what happened"...... Think about it, for all we know Hitler could be alive and still being tortured, because we never foud his body or whatever :/ I know its speculating and all, just something to think about :)

This was my first Tarantino film and I was very impressed--can't wait to see more of his movies. I've never seen any movie like it before; the style was so strange and unique--the dialogue was also very good and realistic.

However: Was it just me or did anyone else have a problem with how much time was spent on Shosanna and her story, and how little we saw of the Basterds? Not that Shosanna was a bad character or anything, I just thought that the titular characters would have more to do with the story. I for one find Lt. Aldo Raine and his crew to be far more interesting than Shosanna.

You know what really yanks my chain?
When a movie comes out on DVD and they retain the small yellow font for ALL of the subtitles, most of which are backed up by a part of the screen that is white/tan/yellow.

jimminee christmas, c'mon!!! The least they could have done is release this movie with the subtitles (and there's quite a few of them so far, and Im not even done watching the movie) in the "black strip" underneath the actual movie area.

Yeah, I was hoping to LOVE this movie, but so far I cant even read 1/2 of it.

And that, my friends is far too distracting.

Yes, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Got this for Christmas. Awesome movie. I don't think I liked it quite as much as the Kill Bill films but it was definitely up there (I'm really not much of a Tarantino fan... all his other stuff I really didn't care for. Even Pulp Fiction I thought was meh)

Except anyone with a wide screen TV wouldn't be able to read anything then :p

Sounds like a good movie I have to wonder at what point it became ok to put "almost" cuss words in movie and song titles...

Since the first amendment.
This movie is hilarious. I laughed so much while watching it. I recommend it to anyone.

"We're not the in the prisoner taking business. We're in the Nazi killing business and brother, business is a boomin."

Although I usually don't care for the opinions of the Academy Awards, I'm really glad they gave the Oscar to Christoph Waltz for best supporting actor. He really deserved it. I remember reading a review after the movie came out and the author predicted that he'd get it, and this was long before they even announced the nominees.

He was amazing in this movie...I thought the movie should have won more..instead Hurt Locker won everything. Boo.
I knew it won't win best picture, but I had hoped Tarrentino (spelling?) would have gotten Best Screenplay.

Yeah, he was pretty much a shoe-in. Which isn't to say he didn't deserve it; he was awesome.
