I am catholic and I can see Rooney's point. I wasn't offended by him. I don't think mel is doing this for the money. In fact, I think he is worried he will lose money.
I am actually someone that thought mel was acting a little weird in his interview with Diane Sawyer. However, on the Pax show last night, I didn't see it.
mel has a sense of humor so i doubt he will be offended by rooney...probably the only thing mel would worry about is how rooney's comments affects the box office in a negative way.
