  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

He says himself that he's balanced in that regard, but he had to work for it due to natural introverted tendencies.

K9_trainer and I have a friend who's pretty balanced too.. but he's kinda different from Chris too.

the one that surprises me is the I - I was sure he'd be more of an extrovert than an introvert.

Chris you are one hard guy to pin down :D

Yeah I know, even I don't get me sometimes.:D

J/k. If you asked about almost anything, I could tell you my opinion on it, and why I believe what I believe for most things.

F is for feeling. You naturally pick your feelings/values over logic.

N is for iNtuition, they tend to see the big picture and jump from point A to point Z as opposed to S (sensing) which is more concrete in its'
observations and are good going step by step.

Often though, when making serious decisions especially about relationships, I go with logic first, and feeling second.

I can "feel" something about someone, and yet not act on those feelings.

As far as intuitions, I am pretty good with that, but sometimes I am off.

:D Intuition isn't necessarily having a "hunch" or a feeling about anything. Its just the way you process information and the world. People who are S types are sensors...They process information through their five senses. What is actually THERE, what can they feel and see? What is the raw data?

N types on the other hand, deal more with the abstract. They wonder why, What does A and Z have in common and why, how do we come to XYZ. They tend to like theory and speculation.

 (bolded part)

This I did not know! I'm still recoveirng from the shock, though it makes a lot of sense now that I think about it.

Ok, I did one of those Myber Briggs personality tests years ago and never remembered much from it other than the letters INFJ which are suppose to correlate to my personality.

Well out of curiousity I googled INFJ, just to see if I rediscovered anything interesting...

One percent! The most rare personality type! :o

I wonder if this has something to do with why I'm single.

(oh, and I just checked abother website and it said INFJ's are 2-3% of americans, but it is still the lowest percentile of all the other personality types)

God and his sense of humour!
Not to brag, but I'm actually the most rare. An INTJ female is the rarest of all the forms. Other than an INTJ female, an INFJ male is the rarest.

OK. That is hardly bragging. As I have learned with being left handed, the novelty of being rare is not always worth the trouble ;)

In the end, I used to be an absolute MBTI nut. But my INFJ boyfriend :)P) used to tell me that MBTI is bust and people really don't fit into the 16 boxes. Unfortunately, he was right, and over time I have found MBTI less and less reliable. It is helpful to explain concepts on why people are different, but even more complex MBTI theories just don't cut it when you're looking at people. So, I very rarely now use it.

Despite being rare, its not that bad for you, because you are a female. If you're looking at this typologically, you'd be after an ENTX, preferably an ENTJ. These are not that hard to come by. You could also replace the E for an I. So really, you are looking for an XNTX male. They aren't very common at all, but since your "best" match is an entroverted NT, this increases your playing field greatly.

If you had been an extrovert, your "best" match would be that much harder to come by, because introverts are significantly less common than extroverts, and there are not enough to go around for all of the extroverts ;) :p

My boyfriend is an INFJ. This is not the "best" typological match by any means, the best for me would have been an ENFP. But quite frankly, I'm rather pleased with my situation ;) :p ^_^

If you had been an NT things would be much worse. Simply, NT's are far more common in males and NF's are way more common in females. So if for some reason you get it mixed up, like I do, your task becomes much harder, and you also have to deal with the fact that many male NF's often hide this side of themselves because of stigmas.

Just some food for thought :p

I can see you as being an F type. You give off that vibe. Its the N I'm not so sure about, but its really hard to tell because you keep your posts so short. You don't really allow us into your mind too much :p
I don't know him very well, but he gives off a serious sensor vibe just based off his posts. The very fact they are short and to the point is indicative of that. But the real clicher is his signature. Just look at it. Guns, soldiers, life is tough, pray hard? Very much a sensor type signature. Focused on physical things, down-to-earth-realistic ideas. For that reason I greatly suspect he may not be an F at all, but rather, a T. An ST, but whether he would be a E/I or a J/P is up to speculation, his signature doesn't really show which at all.

My signature is a classic INTX signature. Video games, being a nerd, dreamer? What else could it be. Outside of the INTJ thing, of course :p

Yea, I actually don't know what my boyfriend is as he doesn't believe in these tests. I don't pay that much attention to these tests anymore either, last time being about 3 years ago when this thread was last active, lol.

Its probably not difficult to figure out what he is if you do some readings of the profiles :)

Maybe I am ISTP, I'm rather terse myself. I have sort of moved on from MBTI myself, but only to another theory, I'm no better off. xD I still use it, for people not into psychology. And of course my "base, not box" theory.

Yea, he might be somewhere between an ISTJ and INTP, but with a bit of INTJ thrown in. lol

edit: actually now I'm not sure, as this page http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inventory.html makes me think he might have more F than T, haha, so I have no clue now, when I was more into this stuff I thought I had him figured out haha.
