Saya orang Inggris tetapi sudah lama saya tinggal di Indonesia. Sekarang saya tinggal di Jakarta tetapi dulu saya tinggal di Surabaya dan Bandung.


Gimana di Amrik?

Saya lahir dan besar di Jakarta. Saya kenal satu orang Inggris juga yang pernah tinggal di Bandung, he was a professor and a missionary under The Navigator Christian Orgz.

Saya kerasan di Amrik, tapi kadang-kadang kangen pulang Indonesia untuk ketemu keluarga & teman.

How did you end up in Indonesia?

Saya pernah sebagai guru bhs Inggris di tempat kursus di Singapura. Ada teman sana yang dulu mengajar di Jkt. Dia selalu mengusulkan saya datang ke Indonesia. Terus, di Inggris ada iklan lowongan guru kursus bhs Inggris di Surabaya. The rest is history.

Belajar di sana atau kerja?

Saya kerja sekarang di Maryland. Lulus kuliah hampir 3 tahun lalu dari University of Arizona.

I think there's some yahoo groups, but I haven't really looked, to be honest.

I haven't tried the groups. Some of them look a little dubious, but I'm sure you'll find something interesting amongst that little lot (they say there's 900+ of them).

I joined FICA (Fellowship of Indonesian Christians in America) mailing list a few years back, but eventually unsubscribe because of the high volume of emails I received and I didn't have time to read all messages. It was pretty good though.

Nama says Misty dan saya tinggal di Australia. I started learning Indo but haven't had much opportunity to keep it going lately, would love to keep it up. I have joined an Indonesian Christian group on yahoo (for the same reason as lullalullyby) but have been a little too scared to write anything as I can't understand the majority of whats written. Have been to Bali though and would love to go back (or to any other part of Indo) at some stage. Let me know if theres any grammer wrong in my first sentence. God Bless.
