I'm working on my 2nd podcast & am looking for some good Indie Christian Bands to include. If you have a band or know of a band - PM me or email me w/ their info. I'd love to include them on my podcast.

Sufjan Stevens, Pedro the Lion, Damien Jurado, Low, Danielson Famile (and Br. Danielson)...

Exactly like Eisley, but they aren't independent anymore. The only one you guys have mentioned that I've heard before is Pedro the Lion. I'll have to check out the others.

I need good independent bands for a christian off road video I'm making. I can't use music from labels, they make it impossible.

brokenBox - brokenboxtheband.com

Know of any artists like that? Addison Road and brokenBox are groups with girls as the lead singer, they're pretty good. brokenBox road has a really cool rock version of Nothing but the blood, but you don't actually hear the rock part on their online preview of the song.

Unless its Makeshift/Broken Yoke type rock I tend to prefer female voices over male. Maybe its just me, but I think girl harmony sounds better. Now, I wouldn't mind any Broken Yoke girl rock either!

Makeshift is a band that goes to my church. The backup singer and guitar player Aron is the worship leader. We have about 2 other bands there and I tried to convince one called Indecision to make a girl song...the lead singer in that group has a wife who could probably pull it off, but they thought I was crazy... Makeshift type girl rock.
