CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm going to need to buy at least 4 pairs now, sigh....
By the way, heres the winner. After a rigorous two days research, going to army surplus stores, shoe stoes, and tons of webbies, I've reached my decision... THE NAUTILUS N1321!!!

I weeded these out of maybe 15 shoes that met my criteria, which changed somewhat as I looked.
I decided on these 'normal' looking shoes cuz they look normal. They are deceptively normal, and composite toe. So when I roundhouse kick someone in the face, my shoe would be able to withstand 2500 pounds of compression. Wouldn't want my toes to get hurt
The next closest was the Third Watch T408, just because they were more militant/police looking... and had a load of features. Unfortunately, I tried on some similar boots (minus all the fancy stuff, and like half the price) at an army surplus store, and felt it looked rather odd with my khakis... I hope I don't regret this decision because I CANNOT buy another pair of shoes for the next 6 years. Its the only way I can justify paying so much, and thats about how long I've had my other shoes.
I think the biggest thing that got me was shorts; shorts + boots = "....not good.... ". At least for guys. If I went to South Korea with shorts and black boots on, they would stone me. My grandmother would forsake me, and the Jung Clan would erase my name from their massive book that keeps our lineage (don't ask. my dad has the complete volume of Koreans with last name Jung. They even found out about me AFTER my parents left Korea and came to America, where I was born. They spelled my name wrong... but they found out....)
Thus the Nautilus N1321, with its simple, feature rich, deceptively innocent tennis shoe look won as a pseudo pair of "indestructible shoes". They are work shoes... not police or military boots, but then again... who knows exactly what they wear.... well whatever.
I think the person who said "....you need different pairs for different activities....
" was right. But alas, the order was placed last friday.
My shoes for the next 6 years have been determined.

But its funny cuz I always have shoes that match my pants but one of my male friends makes sure his socks match his shoes and his shoes match his pants and informed me once that my socks dont match my shoes, well girls like cute socks of course they wont match!
