  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

For anyone who was affected by 9/11.

I can't believe it was 7 years ago... truly praying that the families involved have healed, or started to heal.

at ~8:30 a.m. the morning of September 11, 2001 I answered the phone at my work - it was a nurse from the extended care facility where my mother-in-law was being cared for telling me that she had taken a bad turn and had refused further treatment - the nurse said it was time for my family to come be with her. I called my husband he headed over. I then called my son to tell him it was probably time to go say goodbye. He kept interrupting me, telling me to turn on the news - that a plane had crashed in NYC. My response - I can't think about that now, we have to take care of your grandmother. I wouldn't let him tell me about it - as I was driving to my m-i-l's I heard it on the radio.

To say I was surprised when I realized the gravity of what had happened in NYC, Washington DC & Pennsylvania is an understatement. As awful as it was - we barely had time to think about what was happening elsewhere.
