Jew and Gentile are supposed to have come together into one new man. Have we? or is there still a distinction? Things that are okay for one but not for the other, or do we share in blessing and responsibility of one family of God's people?

Sometimes some things are perceived on a different plane than most see. Seems obvious to me, I'm comfortable with it.

I see notin' wrong with celebrating Xmas, esp if done in godly manner . We celebrate birthdays of ones dear to us, not so dear, or even "I hope I dont strangle that lazy bum today,so Help me God" coworkers.
Why not celebrate His?

Xmas in America became so divorced from its true religious meaning its an innocent secular holiday for most.Why its an issue even? I am not looking for a fight, but if some loving br/sis from MJ opposed to it, explains? I'd be obliged.

As his mom said to complaining about problems in his 2nd marriage cousin "you divorced Lilah, but forgot to divorce yourself" People bring their own errors and shortcomings into ALL they do. How secular-ish! look at my boy and his nogoodnicki friends just sitting their in the sukkah,listen to music, flirting with girls. That's religious private jewish school education I am paying 2 grand a year for? "

no, darling' your job security is not threatened, not this side of heaven.
As ample evidence from all kind of attempters-obeyers of Torah, of all stripes, from christian-messianic to most ultraorthos and all in between proves, they all still need lawyers and courts.

What other people decide to do with the holidays is up to them and God.
If I choose to observe Chanukah and look within at who/what I've become, clean out the mire that has accumulated over the months, make a clean space for the Holy Spirit to dwell once again - how can this be a bad thing? We do spring housecleaning, why not winter soul-searching?
If I choose to put up a tree on 12/23 with lights and baubles and spend a few days of utter rejoicing because the Savior was born (at some point in time way back when), and I bring smiles and warm feelings toward everyone I meet - how on earth can this be a bad thing? God knows the world around us needs a little help in the joy department.

The only people who should concern themselves with Chanukah or Christmas tree, neither or both, should be the immediate family that is touched by this decision, husband, wife, children. Not one other soul should be involved. It is a personal decision that is made with God in mind.
