Personally, I don't follow or listen to Benny Hinn...but I also don't believe it's right to sit in judgement over him and claim he's not saved and is a servant of satan.

Remember, with what judgement you judge with...that same judgement is going to be used to judge you! (you reap what you sow)

People go to his events in droves, and leave unhealed.

Everyone Jesus ever prayed for died! (think about that a minute...)
Jesus could do no miracles in His own home town...had He lost His annointing?

No, it was the unbelief of the people that limited what Jesus could do because Jesus cannot force God's goodness upon anybody...because God gave each person free will...you either choose to believe...or you choose not to believe.

Here you have miracle workers and exorcists and prophets going to HELL . . . and those did such things IN JESUS NAME!

So what? There's people who did nothing in Jesus name and went to hell...

manifestations have never been the determining factor of someones character or the legitimacy of a ministry.

It is to the carnal minded...who are always seeking a sign

Notice Jesus' words I NEVER KNEW YOU

That's because some never allow Jesus to come into their lives and be LORD, something Jesus has paid for, to have the right to...they accept Him as Savior, but not LORD

2 Cor 11:13-15

Anybody can use this scripture to claim somebody isn't saved as they attempt to sit in judgement over another person's salvation.
You aren't God, so this type of judgement is not in your job description and is way above your pay grade!

So there is a real sense in which God shows up in some cases merely to honor the use of His name. I dont think that God will tell someone who truly repents and reaches for Him at a Hinn crusade: "Sorry, this is a Benny Hinn crusade, I cant save you here . . . ask me outside" or "sorry I cannot heal you inspite of your honest heart because the forum here is with Benny . . ."

This is also true down at your church...

Would you rather be hurt or broken on your way to Heaven, or healthy on your way to Hell?

God says you can be healthy AND go to Heaven!
Ain't that good news!!!

I'm hoping this is just a very bad metaphor.

There's a difference between the Holy Ghost being in you...and the Holy Ghost coming UPON you for service.

The apostles were equiped with gifts of healing and were able to heal in most cases whever they wanted whomever they wanted..

Wow! If that were true, then they had Jesus beat...because Jesus couldn't do any miracles in His home town.

The apostles, and Jesus...could only heal when people believed.
There are people that go to Hinn's deal believing, and some get healed...Benny Hinn has very little to do with it.

Benny Hinn has never preformed a miracle outside his own staged and controled areana and to date not one single person has been examined by a 3rd party doctor to verify if a healing has taken place.

That's not true...there are people that have had doctor verification.
And, how would you know He hasn't ever prayed and seen someone get healed somewhere other than one of his meetings??? Have you been with him, in person, 24/7, 365, for all these years???
No, you haven't...so you cannot make that claim in truth.

Trust in the Bible, not man everything u need is in there

There's never been any words spoken that were more true...

He says people aren't healed by faith, God's love heals them... Is that what we find in scripture?

Yes, because the Bible teaches faith works by Love (Galatians 5:6)

A counterfeit will draw a person away from Christ to the manifestation and the person performing the healing.

Yes, and some followed Jesus and the Apostles for what He could do for them...and were not following Him with a pure heart...

If you read his posts he was asking bc his father said, he was asking for guidance. you do make some very good points, and talk about us judging benny hinn, but in a friendly way i ask, can u go back and look at some of your quotes and see if maybe thier might be a teensie bit of judgement from you in any of them?
;)

In life, all of us have to make judgements...but we should be making righteous judgements based on what God's Word teaches.

You cannot live without making judgements.

Remember, with what judgement you judge with...that same judgement is going to be used to judge you! (you reap what you sow)

So, we should always remember that God has been merciful to us...so we need to be merciful to others

No brother, the Spirit works whether there is repentance or a right heart or not.

See Samson, filthy sinner, again and again going beyond what God had said no to

Samson is a Jew from the old testament, not saved or born again because Jesus is the Savior by which a person can be born again.
The anointing would come upon Samson at certain times because he was a judge of Israel. He lived up to the Godly knowledge that he knew. He was not a prophet who has heavier requirements of righteous behavior. Apparently all Samson was required to do is never cut his hair or drink wine.

Samson is not the best example to compare with Benny Hinn.

Again see here

Matt 7:21-23
21 " Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 " Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you;DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'
NASU

Does this sound like these people's hearts were right?

Jesus said, Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven.

Q: Who was Jesus referring to?
A: Someone who practiced lawlessness.

Q: What is lawlessness?
A: A practice of those who don't adhere to God's laws.

Jesus said, [h]e who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

Q: What is the will of the Father?
A: To believe in Jesus.

Q: What did Jesus already say about those who believe in him?
A: To those who come to Me I will in no wise cast out.

Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13
"Those that call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

2 Timothy 2:19
"Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

Q: Did the one who practices lawlessness confess the name of the Lord?
A: No record of it in the Matthew 7 account.

Q: Is there public record of Benny Hinn confessing the name of the Lord? Has he given his salvation testimony on tv or one of his books?
A: Yes.

Q: Is that the same as anyone of us could do here in order to let people know that we are saved?
A: Yes.

Matthew 10:32
"Those who confess Me before men I will confess before the Father."

Notice Jesus' words I NEVER KNEW YOU (IOW even when u were doing things in my name, and I even showed up, I NEVER KNEW YOU). That is not a repentant and clean heart brother . . . it is the EXACT OPPOSITE . . . they were not even believers!

So you judge Benny Hinn as unrepentant, a sinner not saved? How do you know that Benny Hinn is not saved?

Because he has a ministry where people have testified that they have been healed by God.

And somehow that makes Benny Hinn the same as the person in Matthew 7 that practiced lawlessness?

Is having a ministry of miracles equated with lawlessness? How could that be when Jesus entire ministry was filled with doing miracles. And he said that his disciples would do the same as he did.

I don't think that you have a viable case against Benny Hinn.

For the record I am not a Benny Hinn follower. I follow Jesus. I study my Bible but I am not a teacher. There are a number of preachers and teachers ordained and qualified to teach that I listen to on a regular basis.
I realize by some of the theological mistaken statements that Benny Hinn has made that he is not a teacher or preacher.

Anyone of us could just as easily make a theological mistake because any of us are not teachers or preachers.

It is my conclusion that Benny Hinn is an exhorter in a healing ministry. Different than such healing ministries as Oral Roberts or any other of an equal type that anyone would care to name.

Perhaps we can't judge Benny Hinn's salvation, but the problem with Christians, especially ones who follow, or even condone people like him, is that they think it's wrong to judge at all. The bible clearly commands us to have discernment, not to follow any self-appointed leader, and if there is a false teacher among us, we must cast them out, and not even eat at the same table with them. We must judge Benny Hinn because of his theological errors, and they are many, and severe. And not just that, we judge him to protect those who can't protect themselves, his mindless followers. He is a con man, a fraud, who preys on the desperate. He gets rich off the money of the poor, promising them returns from "God".

We judge him for things like:
Telling you to give him 1000 dollars, and promising 100-fold return. Moreover, he tells this to people in financial trouble. In order to get out of debt, you must give Benny Hinn 1000 dollars.

What about the boy who came to his crusades blind, and Benny Hinn said he would be healed, and even pledged to take offerings on the boy's behalf, when the boy never saw a single cent from all the offerings taken, and is blind to this day.

And saying that God NEEDS us to do anything on earth, that we give him permission to act?

The man is a liar, and a thief, and we do not condemn him, the word of God does.

God only intervenes if Benny Hinn has been repentant. Hence, the failed prophecies and healings. I believe he is of God because he gives the glory to Him whereas Kathryn Kuhlman wanted the glory for herself.
