Do you all think that we are ment to figure the WHOLE Bible out or are you like me and think that there are things that we aren't ment to figure out?

I'm agreeing with you here. I believe however that we are in a time that more is being revealed of the Bibles mysteries than ever before. I also believe that some of the "contradictions" in the Bible are there for this very purpose.God.is.my.force said:Do you all think that we are ment to figure the WHOLE Bible out or are you like me and think that there are things that we aren't ment to figure out?

YHSHWH CREATED us each unique.Do you all think that we are ment to figure the WHOLE Bible out
or are you like me
and think that there are things that we aren't ment to figure out?
1 Corinthians 2:16 says: "But we have the mind of Christ".it is impossible for us to know the mind of God
The beautiful part of the mystery of the Bible in my mind is that every time I read a passage, I can find something new--if we could ever understand all of it, that wouldn't happen forever, but as it is, thank God, it's always a new Book!God.is.my.force said:Do you all think that we are ment to figure the WHOLE Bible out or are you like me and think that there are things that we aren't ment to figure out?
Exactly starry emzy! there is no poinjt to it. God inspired men to write the Bible about things we will understand.starry emzy said:why would they write something thats in the bible if we are not ment to figure it out wouldn't it then be pointless to put that in??

Complete and utter hogwash!Ainesis said:There is no way to figure out the whole Bible just like there is no way we can completely know the mind of God. Even Scriptures say that we only see now as looking through a glass darkly. There will be a day when we know him, even as we are known, but not on this side of life.
There are no contradictions and for you to say so shows how little of the Bible you understandHomeBound said:I'm agreeing with you here. But seek first the kingdom of Heaven, and everything else will be added to you.
We can figure out what the Bible tells us but when the Bible is vague doesn't mean the Bible or the word of God has failed us it means that is all God feels it is necessary for us to know. If you feel that the Bible is vague on a topic like creation only means that you should look to other forms of knowledge to get the answer. It doesn't mean the Bible was written to confuse you or to through you off.Firefall said:I think that it is impossible to figure out every single thing in the Bible. I think that things like the foundations of the Christian faith, what is right and wrong, God's promises are clear cut. However there are those things that are not exactly important to salvation that we will only find out when we are with the Lord God. Even then we will not know everything, or else we would be like God and prove Satan's lie in the garden of Eden to be a truth.
