bhsmte said:Sounds like those religions are better already.
Thank you. That's how I feel about the bible that tells me how God judges and not you.bhsmte said:Well, objective evidence doesn't go away just because some people don't like it. People can ignore it, deride it, but in the end, it is there.
You should always choose your religion based on the least amount of effort, pain and self pleasure.
Then you will know your safe.
Are you trying to tell us you chose your religion for yourself.Thank you. That's how I feel about the bible that tells me how God judges and not you.

That's right

Straight from the horses mouth. You don't have to like it that God will judge you when you die; People can ignore him, deride him, but in the end, He lives.
bhsmte said:I would choose a religion (if I believed in a God) based on what encouraged the most moral a just behavior. The murderer or rapist that finds Jesus in prison and is saved, while the non-believer or Hindu who lived a life helping others being doomed, is not what I would call a moral philosophy. Of course, Sam Harris explains it here very well, in regards to the moral bankruptcy involved in this sort of belief. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HthQ6a7FZeA
Rather angry aren't we.That's for God to judge.
There are verses in Revelation which speak of the ungodly being cast into the lake of fire and consumed; the second death; eternal destruction.
There are also verses which speak about eternal damnation for those who reject the Lord.
As darkness is the absence of light and cold is the absence of heat, evil is the absence of God. Hell is the complete absence of the Lord; the one place in existence where God does not dwell. It was created for the devil and his fallen angels. Those who rebel against God are no different from the angels who rebelled against God. They separate themselves from God during their life and that separation continues after their death. It is they who make the decision where they will spend eternity by their acceptance or rejection of the Lord.
Don't blame God if you end up in Hell. You will have earned it.
bhsmte said:As I have told you before, if that works for you, knock yourself out.
PsychoSarah said:Not understanding this, you stated belief was being offered right now, I state that if it was I wouldn't be an atheist, then you go on to affirm my statement. Are you trying to suggest I am not an atheist?
Lucifer one day decided he also should be equal with God, and he's had followers ever since. How do you measure morale when your an atheist?
bhsmte said:I can't speak for others, but I find it difficult to like or dislike something I don't believe exists. That would require manufactured thoughts and I don't pretend well.
bhsmte said:Same way a lot of people do: -caring for your family -not doing anything to harm others -treating others as you would want to be treated Easy, to the point and works quite well. Lucifer? If I believed this figure existed, your statement may have some impact.
