ah ok; previously what we could give to our friends is what was is now the clothing in the living avatar section - all the different character outfits (characters not dollies ). So that people could give bless each other with the same outfits they had, or with favourite clothes etc. I think what you are talking about is a new feature being installed? we didn't have another kind of rpg shop before - so the commerce section must be a new feature.

I wish there was a way to incorporate those things into this site now - those links(they are drop downs) and collection of videos and music took a lot of time and work as well as the graphics that cant be seen there.

Because of having a page here I never made a full witness homepage somewhere else not to mention i paid for the ability to have one - because i got mine when erwin first allowed to us to have them for blessings - then a year later he made them free. that page took me a month to make and i had to learn html code to make it.
I hope you will look at it before its gone for good

I found mine also the other day and copied it into my new blog post by post - some people have chosen just to make a first post in their new blog with a link to their old one and then continue from there.

Your blog is still there. They are working on a script to import your old blog into a new one, but until then, you can start a new blog and link to the old one. That is what some have done. Others have copied their blog posts into the new blog if they aren't too long. There are lots of solutions. Your blog is not lost.

Also, I'd like to point out that CF was not born with all the features you have been used to. Most of them are add-ons that have been added on over time, and it takes a bit of time to recreate it. Give the poor guys a break. It has only been a week.

The problem is exactly what you indicate in your post... it would require someone to moderate these elements properly... there is already morethan 150 moderators on this forum, each is occupied with a ton of posts and threads to moderate... too much is not always better than not enough...

this is a community for sharing and communication, not a place where everybody have to control the other... so when we can avoid having to apply control over someone else, we try to... you prefer being just minimized a little in your choices, or you prefer the global control à la Big Brother?!

btw, we may be evaluating the possibility to offer personal pages hosting in the near future, so you would have a complete page editor in html and so on... THIS may be interesting for the ones in need of a real web page.[/quote]


That sounds good, though I don't quite understand......would we still do our own html or just put in what we would like to have and it would show up that way? I also put a lot of effort into my homepage, as others in CF did. I guess I thought of it as one of my ways of honouring the Lord and I do miss adding stuff to it. Would there be a limit on how much a member could add to such a page? Sorry if that's a silly question.....I seem to learn something new about the net and computers every day.

this forum is always your sanctuary, this is one of the main goals of it... read the head of the page... where 2 or 3 gathered...

i will have a solution soon for all these homepages you created in the past, it just take a lot of time to implement everything as we need to test codes a lot...

My remarks were hardly to tell her her comments weren't welcome. She said she was considering not coming back much more because the features weren't what she was used to being a site supporter. I a. tried to give her suggestions as to how she could link to her blog and b. suggested that she have a bit of patience, that y'all weren't done with CF yet and that she shouldn't leave based on what she sees presently.

I guess I should just let people leave from now on so my remarks aren't misinterpreted.

I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your original remarks. It seemed you were saying you were thinking of leaving CF and I was more trying to give you a reason to stay, that they were not done adding all the features.

It's this crazy weather isn't it? In Great Falls it went from heavy rain, to snow, to sleet and back to rain in about 45 minutes this morning. It's making my kids and a lot of people crazy....and I seriously have cabin fever and need to get out camping.
