I'm interested in reading more on the race called the Kumari, are they like the Valar in LOTR? Are they disappeared and everyone is waiting for them to return? Or are they like a legend no one really believes anymore?

the Kumari are like a Cross between Elves and Valar

The common belief is that they are or rather were at one time men

the Elf side is that they think they are better than men, unaware that their own dabbling in creating Orcs was inspired by the Shadow

Of all the races of men the Firstborn would be closet to Valar (like gandalfs race?)

There powers manifest in differant ways

Cossairs are human yes, pirates and thieves

Several baddies are at the centre yes, the "public face" of the overlords

now the Tech of this world is kinda like 1700's meets Sci fi

travel between worlds takes place via misty tracks of water that connect the worlds like umbilical tubes

travel outside the lanes is impossible as the ships are like
spacefaring sail ships dependent on solar energy of the Transitory mists that connect each world

(Very very intersting, Warrior. I like it, is a sort of Victorian Sci-Fi meets Lotr (Maybe a little of Half-lifes Combine?). Very nice, you can count me in.)
