Umm, no, that makes less sense. The entire staff of Walter Reed literally works for the president. There are only four or five boxes on the wire diagram between the chief of his medical team and him. His condition is a matter of national security for which they have no authority either to confirm or deny, except to the extent the president allows them. It's not a conspiracy, it's the law.
