I'm so confused!

I'm new here, and completely confused out of my mind! This site seems like it had a ton of stuff to offer, but is very difficult to navigate. Maybe it is because I am a designer, but I feel it's not so user-friendly. If anyone out there would mind taking a few minutes to explain to me how this whole thing works, I would apprecite it so much!

The main thing that is confusing me right now is all the different "threads" and "forums"...I DON'T UNDERSTAND!

that up there (the link) is the main page. on the main page, there should be 15 main categories. if you click on the + that's to the left of the category titles, it should expand and reveal sub-categories. you can choose to have all the categories fully expanded, or leave them close. i usually leave a lot of them closed, because i don't post in those areas. it's your choice though.

um...what else do you not get? at the top, there are your help commands and quick links (to journal and photo gallery), and so on (member search and control panel).

under control panel, you can make changes. those things should be easy to figure out.

go to the main page and read the titles of each section. For example, the hobbies section catches my interest, so i press on hobbies. That takes me to the eight forums under the hobbies section, then i press on "The Book Club Forum", and in the forum there are a number of threads, each thread on a different topic.
Go into a topic that you like, you can reply using the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the page, or press the reply button (gives you more options like font colour and similies)

regarding other features like pm, blessings, reputation point etc, please go to the FAQ section, it's the FAQ button at the top of the page beneath the CF banner.
