I'm not enjoying my forties

I enjoy my forties. I do have aches and pains here and there but try not to focus on them. I enjoy being more independent as my three teens have learned to cook for themselves - had to as I'm a full-time employed single mom - and to take on more responsibilities.

This allow me to get more involved with my church in teaching, bible studies, intercession ministry, outreach ministry and mission trips. I especially enjoy these involvements as two of my sons participate in some of them too.

I try to make an effort to go to the gym to maintain my physical health, watch what I'm eating and make time for friends and family. I also make time to spend time alone with God reading the Bible or other christian books and praying (got to with those kids!) to maintain my spiritual health.

The rest of my time is spent putting my trust in Him and living according to His will.

I'm not saying that there are never hard times, because there are. But, because He is my focus in life, my days have meanings, no matter the circumstances, and that makes a big difference. :D

I am finally breakin' down and heading to the chiropractor today. My back aches are just too much to take.

I was crackin' up the other day, my mom had a bone density test - she's 70 yrs old. They told her she has the bones of a 30 yr old! I'm like and what i've got the bones of a 70 yr old. hehe

Some things are inevitable, but my back is actually in better shape now than it was when I was 19 and was trying to heal some herniated discs. Yeah, my neck and shoulders need regular massages now since the two car accidents and I fractured an ankle on some stairs; but seriously I'm in better shape now than I was just 3 or even 20 years ago.
