Honestly, I suspect the same thing. They need a warm fuzzy so they say they will pack up their marbles and go home. Then, they hang around to see how many people beg them not to go.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh, so it's just a debating thing? Is the whole thing like that or is there somewhere on here where you can go just for Christian support and uplifting? I don't really want to just debate. I was looking for a more cordial atmosphere. Maybe I was wrong in coming here.

There's a sub forum for Christian fellowship, and the rest of the Edification forums where we usually come together for support, and edification, but surely nothing to replace a church environment.

Thanks. I'm certainly not looking to replace a church environment. Just fellow Christians to talk to. I am quite surprised to see all of the harsh words.....on a Christian Forum. I think I've made a mistake in coming here.

My thought is....that we need people who walk in love and patience and knowledge...people who love God with all their heart and love others to stay here on this forum and make a difference...but sometimes I worry that those who are babes will get angry and lost in here...

I'm thinking some people pointed out how some of the things you believe are unbiblical, and it has rubbed you the wrong way,(not that this is your error) but Its funny how my parents fought tooth and nail to hold onto their infant baptism, until finally they let the bible speak for itself, let it be the teller of truth, let go of there false teaching........they both were baptised as believing adults.......but the ramifications of their decision cost them there life long affiliation with an infant baptising denomination, they were shuned for sticking with the biblical teaching.......its better to stay in biblical truth than follow the erronious teachings of men

This is precisely what I am talking about. There is no need in you trying to be confrontational and insulting. That is NOT Christian. "Infant Baptising Denomination"? That is NOT what Jesus teaches. If there is anything that you have shown, it's that just because it's called Christian does not mean it is.

I guess if you don't recognize it in yourself then there is little hope. lLt me just end this by saying that some of the folks I've encountered on here are just down right mean. A lot more are completely arrogant and that's just not what the Christian lifestyle should be about. To those who wish others well, I say God Help You. To the rest of you, God Help You!

I'm not sure what gave you the right to make this post without investigating what she believes in the first place. She hasn't been on the forums very long and in looking through her posts they look pretty solid to me. I think you owe her an apology for making erroneous assumptions.

I was only trying to point out how my own parents became very angry when they were confronted with truth, pride in ones beliefs is a strong opponent to fight even with the truth of God's word, because when faced with truth you finally have to come to a realization that you were wrong. the baptist have good doctrine concerning the error of infant baptism......in the end the Word of God always wins
