  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i'm just so tired.

i work long hours in a job that's as unpredictable as you can get. yesterday wasn't a good day. i'm almost not looking forward to going to the office since the environment seems to depleet me more than it invigorates; i'm almost not looking forward to working since i'm now out of my comfort zone, and i can't seem to find what God wants me to do.

i also have an exercise class at 7, meaning i've to get up at like 5:30 - 4 hours from now. after weight training for 1-2 hours, i then will have to work, which is around 8 hours of walking.

no food in the house, except some mr. ben's instant rice and tinned veggies.

i've had no dinner, no breakfast, and i'm probably going to go to bed hungry.

:sigh:

Hi vibrant :)
you need some food girl! And a long weekend to boot. Could you be exercising too much and not getting enough nutrients?
I want you to know that I am praying for you tonight.
If I were you I would skip that morning exercise class and get some extra sleep...
I also know first hand about being in a negative work environment, I use to feel so stuck and when I made a career move I felt much more myself. I am sorry you are going through this. I'll be happy to share my chocolate bar with you, it heals all that ails me ;)
Sometimes I actually get nauseated if I get hardly any sleep...

Hi Vibrant, I was in a job like that. I was hating life. Time to change jobs or even careers in my opinion. I did just that. I am better now. I somehow got on a path that I thought was the right one for me. I was in sales yet didn't like doing the extrovert thing. I would have much rathered sell nothing and program a computer! Big change but no more panic attacks, rapid heart rates or crazy stuff like that just b4 you have to do all those ugly cold calls on the phone! Yuck (for me anyway). Just don't wait so long like I did until you are so stressed you cant take it anymore and feel like there's no way out. It's much harder then. Maybe start looking while you still have a position or try other interests in place of the owrkouts for now to get to know yourself better? I didn't know myself until just a couple years ago when I turned 29!

amie, i took your advice and didn't go to that class. got a few more hours sleep but i paid bit $ for that trainer. i also took my lunch break to go grocery shopping!! now i just have to find time to cook. lol.

it's weird though. my day "ends" at 8:30 but i never get home until 10-11.

spock, i'm in sales as well. i'm an introvert in sales as well. it's a summer job and a challenge so i'm learning to walk by those "now hiring" signs without wondering when i could drop off a resume.

thanks for the prayers.

You're tired, huh? Maybe try resting a little bit each day. :) I know it seems simple, but you'd be surprised at how few people actually do that. It helps a lot to just take a few minutes each day to sit (or lay down) and not do anything....even think! I'm just now learning how to do that for myself...hope things get better for you!
