Congratulations!

It is my personal pleasure to report to you that raising children in Japan is much easier than in the US.

Nobody bothers the children there.... Crimes against children is almost non existant in Japan.

Forgive me....

Mothers of twins often need bed rest during the pregnancy. That would be difficult in a foreign country, unless suitable arrangements could be made for extra help.

Why would it be difficult? We had beds there too.

Japan is just as modern, sometimes even more so than the US.

Before I lived there I thought it would be grass huts....^_^

Forgive me.....:liturgy:

No relatives or friends.

She would quickly have to make new friends.

I think what Aria is referring to is that she would need the support of her family and friends during this time to assist with taking care of the house, the kids (I believe she already has two tots), and of course her, while she is in bed. This is difficult when you don't know anyone to help you.

Twins! That is what we had - two boys. Lots of diapers. I'm still recovering from the diapers.

The family support cannot be stressed enough. I had almost none, and it would have made a huge difference until they were out of diapers. There is no sleep for at least six months after they are born, either. Forget sleep altogether... it's unnecessary anyhow.

Rainbow - were you due to go to Japan before or after your expected delivery date ?

It would be before the due date. We actually would've gone a little earlier so we could try to make friends. But now that I'm having two at the same time, I'm not sure if anyone would want to stick arond to help me. I mostly want to stay because both my parents and my husband's parents live very close by and I know they would help. I hate depriving my husband of his dream to move to Japan, but I really don't think that is where God wants us to be since every time we've tried to go there, we got pregnant and this time we were going to go anyway, but having an additional baby at the same time, would prevent us yet again.

You mean I'm going to get even more less sleep than I do now? I didn't think that was possible. What have I gotten myself into?
