Hey, guys.

Long story short: I'm taking the next few days to just chill out, stop stressing and focus on knowing God as God to me in an intimate way. Any good books in the Bible you'd recommend (besides the obvious (John and John's epistle. lol) for an occasion such as this?

Try James. You should get turned on by his practical interpretation of Christianity. But also be sure to study John 3:3-9 where you'll find Jesus talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It may take quite a long time for your prayer request for this spiritual experience to be answered, but it will be worth the wait. It's the only way to really get close to God.Hey and don't forget to worship Jesus on Christmas day and not your Christmas tree.

shoot....i wouldnt be askin none of us if i was you...
id be seeking the most high, becuase you dont even know yourself... you dont know what you need or dont need, and only one person does.

if i were you id go to prayer and seek the Lord, and whatever he begins to deal with you about make that the subject of your vacation.

vacation.

You know what, endure, you're absolutely right. I see exactly where you're coming from, although I greatly appreciate the advice from drdean (btw, I've already received the baptism of the Holy Spirit). BTW, the word I have quoted let me look at this in a different light. You're right: this is a vacation. I get to not worry about these worries of mine and just get to let loose and seek the source of my well being. Thanks, guys. :)
