I just thought I would let everyone know that by this time next week I will have broadband!!!
No more slow connection for me, I'm so happy!!!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

well I can't wait, the main thing for me is that I will be able to go on to the internet during the day without the cost of the internet call going through the roof.
It should be operational by Saturday, we are just waiting for the stuff to come (my fiancé ordered it online and it is getting posted out)!!

Funny, I always have to dial-up to my ISP even for my broadband.

I fought the switch to broadband for a long time. The cost!!!! But now that I've been up on a cable modem for over 6 months I can not imagine how I surfed without it!!! It helps if you got a fast cpu and tons of ram.

The company providing my broadband have just put this on their website regarding my order

The problem with broadband activation is they take 2 weeks to install (at least in my case). Then of course, there is the clause that says "subject to change" and "cannot be guaranteed"...those tricky business people!

ARGHHH, these companies think they can mess around joe public, it's not fair!!!

thats great! i have BT broadband to but i won it for 7 months free and it doesnt end until the end of feb and it rocks! i am going to stay with it after it expirers!! you will like it loads!!

Well this is it. Broadband is now enabled nd working, at this precise moment in time my fiancé and are downloading two things at about 60K each and browsing on two computers connecting on a network!!
