I'm frightened.....

Every night at bedtime it is our routine to tell stories.  We take turns and we make them up.  My daughters are 2 & 4 and sometimes the stories are quite interesting to say the least.

Here was my four year old's story from last night:

Once upon a time..

A little boy and a little girl lived next door to eachother and they played in the sandbox.  They liked eachother so much that they went and got married and then went out for pizza.  Then they went home and slept together.

The End.

I wouldn't worry Miss Shelby.

When she said, "sleep together" she meant really sleep together.
She probably just notices that husbands and wives usually sleep in the same beds. That's all.

Aren't kids adorable.

I'm sure she meant really sleeping when she said "slept together." She knows that mommy and daddy sleep in the same bed, so she knows it's normal for married people to sleep in the same bed. Seems harmless.

Oh... I know you guys. It's just that when she said it.. it was like..Oh my gosh. I actually thought it was funny and thought others would get a kick out of it.

I'm going to recommend those wedding plans to my daughter. Her future Mother-in-Law wants a big fancy-pants bash where half the universe is invited.

My 19 year old wants a beach wedding - one where everyone wears bathing suits (with wraps of course) and then after the vows and the kiss we all run into the ocean

The other night my 5 year old was praying and at the end hesaidreallyfast "help me and Sierra to be married" LOL

Every Wednesday afternoon, I take some time and go to the day care and play with my daughter. There is a little boy there who is her main playmate. They were using me as a jungle gym the other day and the day care worker said "Be nice to him, he might be your son-in-law some day". Now THAT'S frightening.

funny story about my soon to be step daughter:

before i got together with my girlfriend, emily [her daughter] told her preschool teacher that she was going to get a baby brother. the preschool teacher was all interested and asked...'really? when??' to which she replied, 'i dont know yet...we have to pick out a boyfriend first'

apparently she had it all worked out...get a boyfriend for her mom so her mom can get married so she can have a baby brother....hehe
