Antiseptic, kid, your only 14 (according to your profile) so I find it difficult to believe that you have thoroughly and objectively researched this whole issue of scientific evidence in the two books apart from believing "just so" statements. Of course, I
may be wrong in that. Even very well educated people are still debating it themselves. I find it quite bizzare that you do not seem to realise how
many of those Koran verses (e.g. that other Muslims on this forum have supplied as 'evidence' for the 'scientificness' of the Koran) have been taken so much out of context that's its deceitful. Others are just repetition of well known general knowledge.
Of course, its your choice what you believe.
Btw, the big bang theorists don't believe that the universe formed in a 'smoke'...

Also, there is growing opposition to the big bang belief, even by some of its own supporters. To tie the Koran's just-so statements to the big bang belief may be dangerous for its credibility when scientists themselves dismiss the idea and come up with different views for the origins of the universe.
You brought up that the Koran was 'more solid' than the Bible in your opening post. What exactly do you mean by this?
Consider the account of the Flood in both books:
The Bible says:
1. Noah was the tenth generation from Adam. Other genealogies allow us to date the Flood around 4300 years ago.
2. Ark was sealed with pitch (possibly tree resin).
3. Bible gives Ark dimensions.
4. Duration of rain (40 days/nights), time afloat (150 days), total duration of 370 days of Flood.
5. Eight people survived the Flood, i.e. all of Noah's family.
The Koran says:
1. No clear genealogies are given.
2. Ark chaulked with palm fibre.
3. No mention of Ark size.
4. No mention of any time periods of the Flood.
5. The number of people on board is not mentioned, the Koran claims that one of Noah's sons was drowned (11:42-43), and puts a whole question mark over whether Noah's wife survived (66:10, 11:40).
So, if by 'solid' you mean more detailed and accurate, this clearly is not the case with the Flood.
