  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

pretty much all of my friends are unbeleivers, i cant seem to make friends with a chrstian, not that i dont want to be but i cant find any. doesnt god want me to have christian friends? i tried bringing some of them to chrsit but they are depressed. it seems like the more a person needs chrsit the more they reject him.

why does god want me to be freiends with people who will never come to christ. cant i just have christian friends. i have one or two i can think of. thats all.

Seriously, a friend is a friend regardless they are christian or not.
Why judge your friend and think that they never come to Christ?
Unless you are God, i don't think you are able to predict the future, do you?

The reason God wants you to be friend with non Christian is to bring the truth to their hearts. Not by choking them with bible verses, but by living the word of God. They will come to open their heart and mind in time.

With all respect, some of my good friends are actually non christian.
and I pray to God everyday that He will reveal Himself to them in time.

Meanwhile as far as finding a christian friend, go look at the source (church). But, just because they are "christian," it does not make them automatically good friends. A human is a human, regardless.

Hi Kyle

Finding friends can be hard sometimes can't it?

I think you have got it right - to talk to your non-christian friends about God and then let God do His 'stuff' in their lives. And - at the same time, look out for Christians to be friends with too.

If your church [which I assume is the one your Mom goes to?] doesn't have many young people - where else do you think you could find young Christians?

Another church? A youth event in your area? online ?

yea at my chruch i made a few friends, but thir all real old. it seems like this generation youth doesnt care about god.

its totally true, our generation doesn't care about god, we have been raised in a god free world. The government takes religion out of the class rooms and just about every public place. The reason for that is, I've noticed that religion basically un-intentionally creates segragation and discrimination. To pretty much defend my statement before anyone even gets a chance to attack it, if you think about it, we are setting up boundries against our fellow man kind, gays are evil, everyone who is not a christian is going to hell, and so on.

The way I see it you are causing conflict by sh!t talking your non christian friends, see their lack of faith as a gift and dont force them into anything. Its cool if you want more christian friends, but dont take your non believer friends and try and make yourself seem better for believing and them not.

i must agree with malarky on this one. more or less, every big problem EVER has been started or fueled my religion and more or less, shlt talking your friends who dont believe in a made up man in the sky who gets billions of people killed is just plain old wrong on your part.
as a great band once said "Are there any queers in the theatre tonight?
Get 'em up against the wall. -- 'Gainst the wall!
And that one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me.
Get him up against the wall. -- 'Gainst the wall!
And that one looks Jewish, and that one's a coon.
Who let all this riffraff into the room?
There's one smoking a joint, and another with spots!
If I had my way I'd have all of ya shot."

secondly jesus doesnt kill billions of people he hasnt killed anybody.

He's right, Did Jesus start the French/Indian war? Revolutionary war? The war of 1812? The Spanish/American war? The civil war? American/Indian war? WWI, WWII, Korean war? Vietnam? The two wars in Iraq?? Jesus has never been a factor or reason for any of these wars. meaning this Country has never used a "Jesus said in Matt chapter 30 verse 19 "to start anything. I'm sure each and every leader we've had during war time has prayed to the extent of his ability, but Who wouldn't when sending thousands of men to their deaths.

The fact of the matter is we/Christians make mistakes like everyone else. It is because of our inherent "Saved" nature that puts us to closer scrutiny than non-Christians. Meaning every mistake is blown up ten times. for example you never hear of a group of Gay guys beating up a singled out Christian.. Why? is it because in the history of the world this event has yet to happen? No, of course it has. I've been to Disney during the wrong week, and everyone not wearing a "Red" shirt has been chastised.. But it doesn't even make a story in the local newspaper.. Why? Because non-Christians aren't held to the same standard. You want to know bigotry, you want to see discrimination, try wearing a Jesus loves you shirt to school/work for a few weeks, and don't explain anything, see what happens. Do you think your friends will treat you the same? Nothing changed right? try and hand out a few tracts then, carry a bible for a while, Take that moment of silence when it's offered, what then? Where will the enlighten sense of the world out side of christianity be then? Do you honestly think you still be excepted?
