I'm back... :)

Just wanted to let all of my dear friends know that I'm back in the US after almost a month in Finland (getting chomped at by mosquitoes). I'll be home Wed (getting some stuff done here in Baltimore as hubs is still gone). Sometimes later this week I will post a picture of the current progress of my embroidery. It was a pretty good course and I need to crack the whip on myself to finish the piece. Next class is in two months.

Anyways, I'm off to get some food (although plane food was reasonable), shower and go to bed!

Totally happy to be back in the country although the humidity will take a few days to get used to! Well, it'll be winter again before we know it...

Thanks guys!! I love my TAW 'family'!

It was kinda funny when I went through immigration. The guy I got recognized me and said: We meet again! Apparently I've gone through his line like 5 times in the past three years LOL. It was quick and painless through immigration and customs. 35 mins after we landed (not at the gate mind you) I was out.

I definitely feel like the US is more home to me. It's my space at my home and man, my vocab in Swedish is getting atrocious. I speak it much more than I do Finnish but I keep up the Finnish just fine, but Swedish... oh geesh. I think it's because it's rather close to English and I'm trying to use English word orders and sayings and it just sounds ghastly. Oh well!
On the other hand it's kinda nice to be able to browse around in stores without people constantly asking if they can help or check out at a store without being asked how you're doing... then if I try chit chatting with a clerk they look at me like I'm from Mars or something. *quickly checks in the mirror* Nope still looks normal to me... no green tints, no big weird ears, no antennas....
So I'm glad to be back home! Going the other way is home at Mom's. Not so shabby but it's not my home.

Yeah, I do the same thing with my Norwegian. Sometimes I say things in Norwegian that make absolutely no sense because I was trying to use English grammar.

Back yard is major jungle (front not pretty but not as bad) but hehehe, I'm going to put hubs to work tomorrow or Friday. I get to do the weedwhacking anyways so it'll be about an equal job... definitely need to neaten up around here in the yard over the weekend.
