• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

but I know that I've thoughts some of these things (what the pharasies said) about the Holy Spirit on purpose, not sure why butI know I have. How can that be forgiven?

First of all because Jesus never said that it could be committed in thought

Secondly, Jesus will never call you to account for somehow just knowing you've committed this sin when you haven't actually committed the sin you refer to. Again, you are relying on your own understanding and judgment and your judgment here is clearly false and has no sound foundation. I'm sorry Caty, but your case for committing this crime wouldn't hold up in court. You would be pronounced innocent and dismissed.

What you are experiencing is condemnation (false guilt), which is of the enemy and not of God, Jesus did not come to condemn us but to save us.

Repent, as you've been advised repeatedly.

Caty, the answer to many questions is to just obey what Jesus said. Actually be unselfish and help others, to remove your pride and ego, to have not so many thoughts about you and instead care about others. A cure to this life is to not seek this life, but to seek the life for us to live by Jesus Christ's commands & teachings.

Being unconcerned about your fate and instead to love others and give unselfishly, even more concerned about them will help you. Wouldn't love be better known by being less concerned about ourselves and more about others. Love is corrupted by self-interests and not by unselfishness.

you cant tell me that if you were convinced you were going to Hell, you would just be cool with it and go on with your life??? Trust me I would love to just move on and think about other things, but its not hat easy & whenever you have such a fear that you literally cant move sometimes, its' easier said that done.

repent means to chnge your mind about sin & to not want to do it right?

If so, then I'm repentant before they (thoughts) even start.

You aren't to be repentant for nothing! That's being driven by guilt--Satan's plan for you.

You repent when you sin, receive forgiveness and move on.

Somewhere along the line you neglect receiving God's forgiveness, and don't believe him when He says He forgets also.

Hebrews 8:12... And I will forgive their wickedness,
and I will never again remember their sins.

I just wish I could have read this stuff first (what you all are saying ) becaue I've read things that say that even if you are sorry, even if you repent & beg forgiveness, Jesus clearly says you will not be forgiven. But If He CAN forgive, He just doesn't want to, I don't understand why He would send soemone to Hell who is repentant, wanted forgivess with soemone who hated Him and never wanted Him.

Hi again Caty!

What I forgot to mention yesterday is that God gave the Pharisees the sacred job of leading the entire Jewish community into a good relationship with Himself.

So what did the Pharisees do when they saw the Holy One (Jesus) that God sent to take away the sin of the world? The told all the people that Jesus was from the Devil.. How heinous and despicable! No wonder Jesus told them they would never have forgiveness! They deliberately lied to the people, telling them Jesus was from the Devil, just for MONEY!

It would be like telling a trusting young girl that she had won a trip to Thailand and then when she got there she would find out she had been sold into white slavery! There are no words to express how rotten the Pharisees were.

They weren't just playing a little "mind game" like you are. They were seriously out to save their own HUGE incomes and leadership positions, regardless of how many millions of Jewish people they hurt in the process. And the effect of their lies about Jesus has lasted even to this very day because only a relatively few Jewish people accept Jesus even today!

Sorry Caty, you're WAY "out of your league!" You couldn't even come close to doing what the Pharisees did . You don't have the power and leadership position to do what the Pharisees did. Did you mislead millions of Jewish people away from their Savior and all His blessings for the past 2000 years? You thinking you did what they did is actually a bit laughable, but cute anyway that you take yourself so seriously. I think the Lord thinks you're very cute also, but I don't think he likes seeing you suffer all this unnecessary self-created stress.

But, if you want to get REALLY technical, Jesus said "whoever SPEAKS a word against the Holy Spirit." "SPEAKS" means out loud to other people. When a person SPEAKS it MUST be not only out loud, but also to at least one other person, unless maybe you go to the Zoo and tell the Polar Bears out loud that Jesus was from the Devil. If you do that, they'll probably jiust look at you and think you're somerthing good to eat.:yum:

Just playing a "thrill game" in your mind doesn't count with God. Especially since there is no way you really believe Jesus is from the devil.

Best Blessings,
"Arph"

Trust me I would love to just move on and think about other things, but its not hat easy & whenever you have such a fear that you literally cant move sometimes, its' easier said that done.

One of our troubles is how we know God. Many claim God by the Bible, but only one knows God and it is his son Jesus. Is God the Devil God that roasts people forever as extreme punishment? This isn't anyone that I would ever trust or worship. Do I make God into a kinder God to only take the life of someone and they are no more, no eternal pain and terror, just dust and forgotten? Not every Christian denomination believes in this so called Devil God who will roast people eternally. The same people who believe in this type of God, supposedly fully supported by the Bible, will curse me for my handling of truth and my so called false ministry (in their eyes). They can believe as they do, but God would rather that we have courage and honestly to believe, worship & hope as we dare to love him. God can kill even after death, that would sound like total annihilation and not a prison of constant torture, as the worshipers of Satan would like to see or believe to happen. Let us learn to love God and believe in him. Is it not his son that shows us his love for us? People throughout history are told at some point as what to believe. As Christians, we are told by the son of God, Jesus Christ, as to what to believe. Jesus said that for us to fear him who is able to kill after death. To kill after death, must mean to be raise up and brought before judgment and then killed permanently. Where is there a prison for God-killed persons? Sounds like its over. It sounds much more like the Father of Jesus Christ, a kind God, yet a God of justice.

I go one step further. Somehow, I believe that Jesus will save the whole world, every person. The Bible is filled with controversy. It is like a double edged sword. The Devil can not escape, for it swings coming and going (the truth). Take courage to believe and love a wonderful loving Father in Heaven, one who sent us his son, to take our place in punishment. He is our Father and none else. Don't worry about God's judgment, for he is both kind and faithful. Spend your time loving God and not believing in a Devil God. It takes courage to go against the grain of Christendom, but just remember that there are those denominations under Christendom that don't believe in the Devil God, the one that people curse you with. Why should you?

If you know God as your faith in Christ's love for you, then you know of a kind God with great compassion for sinners. The snapping law that kills can not over ride the fulfillment of the law that heals and forever saves. Be a God lover (lover of our Father in Heaven), not a lawyer of the Bible to condemn. We are free, even of death and the law that kills. When you see Jesus, Cathy, will he not explain what he said better when it is person to person? If only we know God by our faith in Jesus Christ alone. Love you dearest Cathy.

Back whenever my ocd was full swing I didn't know about my thoughts, so I would get on here and post what my thoughts said an ask the people on here If that was the unforgiveable sin or if thsi thoughts was the uf-sin. So one night I had this really bad thought against God (kinda what the Pharasies called Jesus) so, it really bothered me and I got on here and told the people about it, all I really remeber from that night was that I was really scared. I got really depressed over the thought and I lost weight, cryed all the time, I couldnt live with myself. So my mom asked me what was going on and I told her what my thought was and she called a preacher and I talked to him about it and I felt better. But then one day I was thinking about what he said that I would have to tell people and stuff. & I started worrying what if I had bad intnetions that night or the night I told mom or whenever I told him. and It scared me, the fear went away for a while but now its came back & Im terrified. Because I cant remember anything really from that night, but I went back in my posts and deleted the quote (from my thought) so nobody woudl read it. Im scared again.

Caty this is your fear talking ..think about this ...you didnt intend to say this to others and if you did say it accidentally well its not the same thing is it

No, I said it intentionally because I was asking the precher if I had committed the uf-sin and I told my mom because she asked me what was making me so depressed and I told the people online because I was asking them if I had done this. But now I fear that maybe I could have been mad at God or soemthing and wanted them to think bad about God by telling them my thoughts, Im not sure, but Im scared now.
