• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

okay, i dont mean to keep running in circles but someone told me that God would not start work in someone who would later become unforgiveable (because he knows in the end what will happen), but what about other people who never come to God, if God knows that they will never come then why would he start to work in them. thats kinda worrying me because i fear now that God mayeb tried with me but maybe its too late now,I'm trying to figure out why i was even born if he knew i would go through all of this stress and worry and want Him but i couldnt have Him. im sorry about this i'm just having a VERY worrysome day.

It's is God's desire for everyone to be saved, for not one to perish. God does everything He can to woo us through the Holy Spirit, no matter who we are. The only time it becomes too late is when we die. Again, if you were indeed forsaken, then you wouldn't even ask these questions. You wouldn't care about all this, if God wasn't trying to show you the truth.

i just think that God is really angry with me, cause these thoughts keep coming back & i think that i might have verbalized some but im not sure and im not sure if i was mad at God or anything whenever this happened, because ive been getting kinda mad because ive been trying to get close to Him since Dec. but i keep getting pushed away it seems.

i hope thats true because i wouldnt understand why God would let me go to hell (someone who wanted to love and know Him) with someone who didn't ever. but then i start worrying if i really want these things or not.

You wouldn't care about all this, if God wasn't trying to show you the truth.

So if I was unforgivable you dont think God would allow me to hear this stuff, but since i was already on this board how would He do that? Would He just not give me the desire to be on here or something??

Go back to the beginning and read the responses in this thread again.

And God might allow you to hear this stuff, but you wouldn't really care about it. If you were unforgiveable, you would not have a heart that desires to know Him.

This is not because you have bothered me at all with your questioning, but I feel like this needs to be done. :hug: And Now.

STOP!!!!!

Honestly, you are over-thinking this. I know this is due a great deal to OCD, but it is beside the point. You've got to shor circuit these thought patterns.

Do you desire to know Christ?

Yes

If you repent, will He forgive you?

Yes

Is HE mad at you?

NO

Are you unforgivable?

NO

Does He have a plan for you?

YES

Is HE in this right now?

YES

Does HE love you?

YES

Those are really the only important things. You have a choice right now. You can choose to believe everything that we have told you in this thread or you can continue on in these thoughts unchecked. Do me a favor. Go back and look at the responses to this thread. Read the response out loud, only the responses from others and then say out loud. "I believe it." Try it just once, even if you start to feel like it isn't true or that you are lieing. Read all the responses and say, "I believe it!"

Try not to think about it. Just say it and see what happens. It can't be worse off for it, so just try it.

im starting to have this intense fear of dying at night now, & i think its where i wry so much about Hell & stuff, but I'll try. I used to have the thoughts that maybe i didn't commit this sin & maybe i still have hope but they have changed to, I know i have and i dont have hope---& that kinda scares me...but im gonna try to read the Bible tonight so we'll see.

Hi Caty! :wave:

Hello from Detroit, Michigan (where the weak are killed and eaten. :eek:).

If you have EVER asked Christ into your heart, you have definitely received "the washing of regeneration" (New Birth). What this means is that the old person you used to be before you accepted Christ, is now DEAD! And from those "ashes" the Lord has created a new spiritual person, alive unto God, His own holy child with the spirit of His Son within:
============================================================================
Col 3:3 For ye ("the old you") are dead, and your (new) life is hid with Christ in God.

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

2Cr 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; BEHOLD, all things are become new.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. (past tense!)

(underlines, parentheses, color and size emphases are my own).
=============================================================================

Now, here's the best news of ALL;
=============================================================================
1Jo 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

1Jo 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his (God's) seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin ("ou dunamai hamartano" - "has no ability to sin" [in his spirit]), because he is born of God.

1Jo 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not (in his spirit); but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not

Ecc 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth [it], that [men] should fear before him.

(underlines, parentheses, size and color emphases are my own).
===============================================================================

So, from the verses above and many others, we can see that God's "method" for dealing with sin in the spirit of Man, is simply to put "the old person" to a spiritual death and then resurrect him/her forever as new creatures in Christ, no longer able to sin in their spirit, but alive unto God with the spirit of Christ within.

So, if you believe that Jesus is the Christ (Son of God), you are already born of God, a new creature, no longer able to sin in your spirit. And ESPECIALLY not able to ever blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

BTW, please don't neglect water baptism, it will free you from the strong human tendancy to judge/condemn yourself and others.
Water baptism is a great gift of power from the Lord to help us in our daily walk with Him.

So, if you believe and confess that Jesus is the Son of God, You're SAFE! In fact, in your opening post you've already confessed before everyone in this forum that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Otherwise, why would you want to come to Him?:confused:

Best Blessings,
"Arph"

just curious to why you say that?

but i was talking about before all this stuff about the unforgivable sin started--i wry if i was ever saved because now i fear if i wasnt i can never be.

IMHO your fear is the fear of God...a very healthy thing for a christian to have. :)
The concept of fear of the Lord is hardly preached now in churches, but it's a truth and it's good and it's OK. :)

but the thing is this: HE is in your life...you are posting here aren't you?
It's a subtle thing sometimes...perhaps God is teaching you here in the midst of the chaos in your emotion?
I think honestly sister...you are saved, have human doubts and that's ok. :)
I won't say trust me...but trust me. ;)
If you weren't saved you wouldn't have a care about any of this.

i hope so.
i dont see how a saved person could have thought some of the things i have, which im afradi were out of anger because of my ocd.
but i truely hope so.
