  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It is certainly not too much to ask for a better life. I hope God can lead you to what drives your passions. Try aiming for a career doing what you love. I know that is easier said and done. With that said, I can relate to your feelings of hopelessness. I had feelings of hopelessness at your age as well. I pray that God gives you wisdom, discernment, and guidance. I pray that God not let you fail and that he opens doors to a career idea that you would love. Even today with a job that I went to school for, I am starting to feel like I'm in my early 20s all over again. I chose a career for the money and now I am not happy. Make sure you choose something that is related to something that is dear to your heart, not for the money. I am having to go back to school to change careers while working full time leaving my family at home for 12-13 hours at a time in a job that I don't like. It is very exhausting! I don't wish this for you. I pray that God miraclously provides for your finances as you ask Him to help you do your part to take steps towards a better life. :)

Thanks everyone.
@Valor - Even finding out what I LIKE doing is a challenge now. Sounds weird to not even know what I'm interested in, but yeah, that's me :/

@rocky - You brought my requests to an online radio station? Is it possible I could hear a recording of that? All I see is how to listen live.

UPDATE: The phrase "God works in mysterious ways" has never been more true. I seen a video that was talking about how we pray and pray, but sometimes we pray with limitations on how we think God will do something, it is only once you removed those limitations that you really see God shine through. That is so true today.

I've been against credit cards and bank loans and all of that ever since they caused us to get into so much debt trying to save our house from being taken for back taxes. BUT, today, my mom actually got a letter from one of the original bank's I ever remember her being with that is offering her a credit card through them for only $50 monthly payments. She decided to try it and she actually got approved despite being denied over and over again by them in the past.

This will only be used for emergencies, but with this we can actually get the car fixed and I can finally start learning how to drive and get a job! I pray that when that happens, God will bless me with a job right away. With that job, I'll finally be able to start saving up towards my own life as well as help us FINALLY get out of debt and have all this weight taken off us.

PLEASE pray for us that everything will go okay and that God will stop any attempts the devil may make against any of this. We may finally have the breakthrough that we need. PRAISE God!

Hi there Fallior! I'm kinda in the same boat as you. Like you I'm 21 and have no idea what to do for a career. I also deal with feeling lonely, anxious and depressed. If I may,;I'd recommend going to a community college and just taking general education classes.
I was too afraid to go to school and so I didn't. I thought I would for sure fail. Well, eventually I went. I have only endured one semester, but I'm going back for next semester in a couple weeks.
Even though I feel like I'm too stupid for college, have basically no confidence, and in general am really worried about school I still managed (by the grace of god) to get a 4.0 gpa without a 2 whole lot of effort. Your not as dumb or whatever as you think you are.

Praying for you!

That's interesting. I may try community college once I get the chance. I'd like to try out a regular job like walmart or whatever just to get used to people and not be too awkward, that way all I'd have to deal with is the school work and not social and school work at the same time. Though before I have a chance at either of that, I need to learn how to drive as soon as the car is fixed, that alone will probably be a challenge for me as I SUCK at knowing how close the car is to the side of a road, or to a car in front of me or whatever.

That's a good idea. I have a part time job and have for the last 3 years. I'm really shy and have a hard time talking to people, but fortunately I've gotten used to it. Everyone at work really likes me, and no one has ever had a problem with me. You'll get used to all of this, especially driving. I know how you feel through. I drive a five speed(manual transmission) and I found it very frustrating at first, but now is second nature.

Praying that God will provide and give you wisdom.

Thanks. Glad you've been able to get used to not being so shy. That may be problem with me, or it might not be a problem at all. It really depends on the day for me.

Same here. I'm not completely used to it, I'd just say I'm good at pretending.
However, I do still have my moments when I'm not so good at pretending (haha). I always feel shy and in general avoid talking to people, but like I said, I'm pretty good at pretending at least some of the time, and I don't think most people notice it too much. Something that may help is to realize that people will probably never think worse of you than you think of yourself. I'm not sure if that helps, but I was always under the impression people wouldn't like me or think I was a loser, but I can't recall anyone ever having a problem with me. Everyone at work likes me, and also most people at school liked me. Hope that helps.
I'm still praying for you bud, God bless.
