Well, I decided to attend a meeting for our school's online radio station to see what is was all about. Well, they had a spot open that doesn't interfere with class (except possibly having to leave class early to get there early enough, but that shall be figured out tomorrow) so I decided to take the spot. I'll be playing mostly their stuff with some songs of my choosing for the fall quarter but after that I get to choose my format. I plan to play Christian contemporary rock and rap. I get trained this Sunday and am on he following Friday from 10-Noon e.s.t. on www.bearcast.uc.edu. Tune in if you can. I will of course try to get a better time next qurter where more students will be tuning in but for right I need to get confortable with dj'ing. Tune in if you all like. I'm not sure exactly what I'll be playing except that it leads toward hard rock i'm pretty. sure. Wish me luck!

So does the station you are working for use turn tables or CD decks?

I'm a big fan of the latter myself, but some small stations and some die hards still use the former. There is a lot more to know if you are ussing turn tables and there is the nack of getting the turn table up to speed before you air the track.

I'm on 10-Noon e.s.t. time this friday. We use both cd's and turntables. Mostly cd's though but the turntable are there if you want to use them. Too bad I have to wait a quarter before I can play all my own stuff though. I canplay my own choices like every third song or somethin gright now. try to listen if you can and give me comments.
