So anyways, I misunderstood what you wrote there. You mean Michael's soldiers, yes? I am constantly tormented by the memories of what I saw and caused. But well, I can't change any of that. I just have to trust Michael to cleanse my dreams when demons wander in.

Yes, I was attempting to posture with quasi-humorous allusion to Christian influences, like those we might gain from fellow Christians, Stryper, and then contrast those with some of the other, darker lines of thought which prevail themselves upon our world ... and upon us.

I am sorry that the past haunts you, as it can do at times for any of us really.

Oh its okay. I just don't know what to do with my faith. I almost yelled at God awhile ago now. Oh, and my old username from 2012 means "God's Greatest Mistake", which is what I still view myself as.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've had times when I shouted at God in anger. It didn't do much for me in the long run other than vibrate the walls, but at least knew I had put my feelings to words and thereby reminded myself that, "Self, you're going to need all the help you can get!" ... and I've become convinced that it isn't the Devil whose going to do that for me.

Quite frankly, there's a lot of us on these forums who don't go to church (or at least, not in a regular fashion) and who don't have any or many Christian friends. But, praise God, we have the internet and web-forums to help a tiny bit with that felt need in a lacuna of disconnection.

And if you want to go play a video game, go have at it for a while. Everyone else comes and goes and comes and goes here. Why shouldn't you? There's a life to be lived. In fact, you're reminding me that I need to take care of some business today on my day off, so I should probably get going with that here, soon, myself.

I realize you are likely to face a spiritual battle whenever you turn to the Bible in any form. All I can say about that is that many of us here will be praying for you to overcome the enemy.

God didn't make mistakes, dear one, and He made you in His image. When I was young, I tried reading the Bible and had some issues with the humans in the stories, but I have learned how much those same stories show me how much love God - JHWH - has for us. My hope is that you find yourself coming closer to His love - and His is pure, not like the adversary's deceit.
