Okay, well, I want to start a game, composed mostly of good storytellers. I think I'm going to restrict the game to people fourteen and over. Just because most younger kids tend to turn it into a video game. Sorry for those out there that this offends.
Anyway, the game is going to take place in the modern world. It's your typical, Blade-style urban fantasy though, with vampires, werewolves, immortals, mutants, and cyborgs. This is going to inherently be Christian based.
I have the world basics in mind, I'm going to rant those off, then anyone else can enter in and make suggestions. No promises that they will be incorporated, but they definitely will be thought over. So, here goes:
The vampiric condition is the result of a very unique virus, transforming people into superior predators. Vampire bodies cannot create hemoglobin, which is why there is a hunger for blood specifically. Vampirism is transmitted through the draining of most of a victim's blood, and a replacing it with a vampires blood, thereby flooding a weakened immune system with sugar loads of vampiric virus.
Basic immortality and flesh that drives people to violence tends to make people very immoral. Very few lasting consequences of actions from their points of view drives them to do whatever they want. Vampiric bodies are comparable in reflex, strength, and senses to the best animal predators in the world, from the strength of a bear to the reflexes of a cobra to the endurance of a wolf to whatever. Also, vampires have super fast and super capable regenerative abilities, gunshot wounds healed within hours. And vampires are so long lived, a vampire has never died of natural causes, of old age. Not yet. Drugs have the same affect on them as on humans, except no negative side effects, not even physical withdrawal symptoms. STD's are harmless, because the vampiric immune system is nearly unbeatable.
Weaknesses include ultraviolet radiation, and a strong allergic reaction to the whole garlic family, including onions and chives, etc.
Immortals don't age, have heightened senses, and heightened immune systems. That's it.
Werewolves are highly allergic to silver, and have lifespans similar to humans, and are driven into transformation by adrenaline.
Mutants are the product of Cold War genetic engineering on the parts of both America and Russia. Cyborgs are in the same boat.
America has a national agency, kind of like MIB, that run relations with these entities, usually policing. It's called the Department of Preternatural Activities, or DePA.
Sorry, didn't leave much to the imagination. That's why this is the OOC forum. Any input?
