I'm confused, it was said on the news today that Trump could not be taken off ballots and was explained that he couldn't be taken off of any ballot. This from a high court

No he doesn't need to be convicted. It clearly states " giving aid or comfort" towards an insurrection is enough. We know he, at the very least, did that.
