I'm thinking about moving to Chicago for college. Any of you from Chicago. Are there some good churches over there?:)
Peace,
-Stefania

There's a lot of good churches both in the city and the suburbs. It all depends on where you end up living.

Ah cool. Going for Art? My brother in law went to school there. I know there is one on up on Michigan past the Bean and the Park , I am almost thinking it is where the river meets. So, it might be that far north in almost the Gold Coast.
Then there is also Moody Bible on LaSalle St. I really enjoyed it there. There is alot of other college students that attend Moody Church cause they are going to the college. I love the bookstore too, I could spend hours just looking upstairs and down.

About an hour east from St. Louis, I-70...transplanted from Cali to here last year, and glad of it!! Life is more normal here in the Midwest!

And, I am NOT a Rams or Cardinals fan!
GO BEARS !

GO YANKEES!

(Sorry, gang...lifelong fan here!)

Glad to be in smalltown Midwest! Thank you, Lord, for moving us here!:)

At the end of the year, we may be relocating to the Chicago area...Warrenville, Northbrook, Mount Prospect, South Barrington, or Lombard are possibilities. We won't have a chance to browse these areas until June, so I was wondering if any of you could lead me in the direction of a nice, safe, middle-class/non-ghetto area within 30 miles or so of Chicago. Right now we live in Miami, Florida, in a not-so-nice area, and I refuse to move unless I am out of the thuggy inner-city area like we are in right now. Oh, and we would prefer a rental property (not an apartment due to animals), but aren't against purchasing a home either, in case that makes a difference in area recommendations.

Thanks everyone!

South Barrington can be a little congested and pricey.
Mount Prospect is nice, I do not think you will have an issue finding houses to rent there.
Warrenville is a cute still some what smaller suburb that is very quaint. It is still local to alot and is right off of Rt 88. Houses for rent might be a little harder but ya never know.

Lombard has its good parts and its bad, becareful around the college, and you will be able to tell by just going around and looking at houses depending on the shape of the neighborhood.

Northbook is alot more upscale as well but nice.
